Aikman played in a time when you could still maul receivers, Aikman playing today would have a career completion percentage of 69-70% he was that accurate, anyone with any knowledge of football history should know that, as for Aikman playing with elite weapons, he is judged as playing with those weapons and with those weapons he won 3 SB's!!!!!!. MY god you like to step in it sometimes

I'm not taking sides here on Aikman or Prescott but there is something that should be kept in mind when comparing eras and that is Aikman's Super Bowl years there was no cap so Jones paid players who were backups for the Cowboys starter's money. These same backups once the cap did start ended up as starters on other teams. The Cowboys were deep at every position and that allowed them to rotate players freely keeping them fresh through out the game. That played a big part in the Cowboys success.

Now you did mention that DB's got away with more in Aikman's time which is true but Aikman had 5 season that he had more picks than Prescott's worse, two of them with 18 and never had a year with as few as Prescott's best.which is 4. Aikman also had a HOF receiver, Irvin and the leagues all time leader in rushing to go with a very good defense. Buty they are different eras and there is no way of completely weighing things out.

That makes no sense. Every since Cooper came into the league he has primarily played outside. Last year Cobb was the slot receiver where he played most of his career. I don't get your whine about Cooper not playing the slot. Because Cooper is a really good route runner it is just as good on the outside

And you know this even though he hasn't played in 2 years. Maybe you should just wait until or if he gets reinstated and see where is quickness is this season not what he was a couple of years ago.

Picks are not indicitave of throwing accuracy. Aikman would hit you in the hands in stride in any part of the field. There is plenty of elite talent surrounding Dak it is time for him to do more with it than go 8-8. Heck an argument can be made that he is getting worse every year 13-3 as a rookie 9-7 his second (season but you could say if Zeke didn't lose those games to suspension that we go 11-5) 3rd season 10-6 and last season 8-8, it is not a good trend for Dak or the team. Cap era or non cap era doesn't really matter because all teams were on equal footing, the question was elite talent surrounding Troy and Dak...both have or had elite talent around them, one guy won 3 SB's with that talent the other guy is 1-2 in the playoffs

It's a good question.

I'm right at the front of the line in harping that its a team game, but the answer is the rings.
Those rings cover a ton of Aikman's sins.

Dak is in the same boat Romo was in after 64 games of starting. Almost identical team records even.
But Aikman had a ring by then.

The good news for Dallas and Dak is that at that stage, the roster around Romo was in entering a steep decline, while this roster looks to be on the rise.
Here's to hoping Dallas' playoffs outcomes with Dak will be better going forward.

First off if Aikman was as accurate as you think then he would have a much higher completion percentage that what he had.. Also Aikman had a better surrounding team than Prescott. Next team records are not just the result of just the QB but the entire team. That's why they are called team records.. Prescott's numbers have improved every year, but again it's a TEAM game. Lets not forget that last season the Cowboys receiving corp led the league in drops. Last season the defense played a huge part in the Cowboys success or lack of success. The Cowboys were towards the bottom of the league in 3 and outs which meant that the Cowboys always had long fields to get TD's when they finally got the ball, was 31st in takeaways, special teams was bad all season allowing returns well above league averages. Lastly an average or a player sliding in skills isn't the #1 rated free agent going into this season's free agency which is what Prescott was. It's time for you and others to stop placing the entire blame for last season's TEAM record on Prescott and realize that it is a team record with team blame.

Bennett has a long history of running his mouth off so to put what a player like that as any kind of example of Prescott's lack of leadership is really bad at best.

Confirmed what I thought.
Mostly JJT but with a few things added in.

I'll just cover item 1.
For starters, it turns out JJT spoke with 3 people, not the 55 or so. So he of course does not really know what everyone thinks, though I tend to agree that most likely the vast majority have Dak's back.

Also, not that I disagree, but JJT did not say "Dak brings everyone together regardless of cultural differences" . I actually think he does and agree with the OP, but that was the OP, not JJT, that said that. He inserted it.

JJT also did not say there was "unanimous adoration" for Prescott in the locker room. Again, OP inserted that
He only spoke to three people.
I DO still agree that Dak is admired, but saying it's for sure unanimous...well, that was the OP projecting. I doubt any player...maybe ever..is 100% loved.

Splitting hairs. And no big deal. But that was my point. I couldn't tell what was said and what was inserted.

I won't go into the items 2,3,4.

A little side note on the Brees thing. I think Dak is closer to Brees' line of thinking than many of his teammates. He respects the cops big time. That's what made his comment even more strong because he was constructive and specific
