yea thats true he could be looking for an enormous deal after some tv contracts are adjusted or whatever.
or he could be looking to use his leverage to get out of here. Maybe he would like to follow Witten to Las Vegas and play for Jon Gruden?
guess we will find out.
I say #4 is mostly bogus. For several reasons.
It came from Broaddus and JTT. Sometimes not always the most reliable sources.
Other articles saying from a former coach. So now it is supposedly coming from someone still in the organization, or it seemed that way. And how would they know what went on during negotiations.
By that, was there any face to face negotiations, or all on video conference, if at all. Because we been led to believe there was rarely any negotiations.
So how could this person know what Dak's demeanor was. I call BS.
And if this source did have any inside info, could Dak's demeanor have been after he lost his brother.
But the truth is, the source mentioned, that Garrett really wasn't that close to the players. His personality (fake) doesn't allow him to get close to people. He's a friendly guy who you can hang out with and throw the ball with after practice and all of that fun stuff, but the reality is Garrett has hundreds and hundreds of acquaintances and very, very few close friends.
We most certainly will. It’s hard to know for sure. I think it is pretty clear he wants to be paid as much as possible. Cowboys or no cowboys. But no sense in us all arguing that fight in this thread.
Unpopular dumb kid passes note in class about unpopular smart kid.
Dak’s future is up in the air. Lots of things will effect his future as a cowboyWhether or not Dak actually wants to remain with the Cowboys doesn't mean the team can't or won't be successful in the future. If he's retained, whether it be by tag or a new contract, he'd be well-advised to put his best foot forward. That holds true for as long as he's dutifully employed by the 'Boys.
In regards to that, even if he eventually leaves, there will probably be at least 2 years to find a develop another QB moving forward. There's hope, with or without him. As far as I'm concerned, I'd like him to stay but it wouldn't be the end of the world if he left. There would surely be alternatives.
In addition, I've said this many times -- I think Todd France has had far too much influence on him than what's in his best interest. I'm extremely hopeful he'll decide to eventually dismiss him. I strongly suspect he'd be doing himself a big favor if he did.
As a Dak guy, I gotta point out that Han Solo ultimately made the right choice!
Here’s to hoping Dak does too.
PRSo then why did Dak step in and try and do a deal at the end?
Probably and unfortunately too late for that.As a Dak guy, I gotta point out that Han Solo ultimately made the right choice!
Here’s to hoping Dak does too.
That's not how it works with CAA. They represent people vastly more significant and valuable than sports figures like Dak Prescott, and you sign on to basically let them call the shots. Otherwise, they won't take you on as a client.France works at the direction of Dak Prescott who is paying him because he hired him.

CAA has Tom Cruise, The Rock, Mark Wahlberg, Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, Scarlett Johanssen, Robert Downey Jr., Beyonce, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryan Gosling......
Dak is no big deal in their world. They don't negotiate. They dictate.
France is known not to negotiate unless he hears a number he likes.France works at the direction of Dak Prescott who is paying him because he hired him.
