Romo wasn't carving up anything his rookie camp. Anyone who saw him in camp that year will tell you, he was the worse QB in camp that year and we had some bad ones. He did work hard to change his throwing motion and got much better eventually.They get an opportunity to show what they got on the scout team against the number 1 Defense. When Romo and Austin was carving up our D, Parcell's new he had something.
I think what Parcells did like about Romo early on was Romo's swagger and probably trusted Payton's eval of Romo.
