Joe Milton to Eagles Active Roster

I think its an ego/approach thing with Milton. I remember hearing rumblings.

I could be a thousand percent wrong, but am searching for answers. Not to say he was all world, but the logic still confuses me. We traded a pick to develop a guy, who actually appeared to be developing, only to let him go regardless.

Im not saying this is a huge loss. I just don't understand what we were doing with Milton in general. If it is about intangibles, ego and such it would help to explain how little he appears to be valued in general.
Just the fact we exposed him to be poached...Eagles will pick his brain for the next 2 weeks. Insider information...Why even put yourself in that situation??? Just dumb IMHO...

That makes zero sense. Jerry is the GM. Promote him to the active roster and the Eagles don't get him. He's acting the fool.
The practice squad players are free agents. They don't have to give the team a heads up that another team wants them. They only do that if they want to stay.

You can protect a practice squad player by promoting him to the active roster. Look at the rules. There is no situation where a player can be taken by surprise.

One of the rare Roseman personnel moves that won't reap his team benefits.

That sucks. With the stiffs on this roster,
Not being able to keep him is a joke.

I hate it. Way too much upside to just let walk.

He's actually a good replacement for the system the Eagles use with Hurts. Hurts is an athlete, but really not that good of a QB.

Agreed-don't understand the whole process.
We paid a price for a player, developed him, then let him leave to our rivals.
Either we are incredibly stupid or we have overpaid yet again.
Or he never developed just like Trance.

He will fit Philly's offensive scheme much better than ours.

Our team is extremely QB dependent.

Philly has a Defense with a run game. Joe can check down, throw bombs and run the ball.

Reading a Defense and getting to his 3rd read is a different story.

You don't know the rules. They are free agents and can sign with whoever they want.

The other choice was to always have him on the active roster not playing and taking up a roster spot. This kind of thing happens with practice squad players.
