That's for sure and likely as not he would get hurt and straight to IR the first day of camp. Acts and sounds like a prima donna to me...

This whole thing is the Chargers' problem. They are being ridiculously stingy with his contract.

Bosa is another player with a history with pot. There's no excuse for him not being signed. Looks like a player who could end up being a lot of trouble.

This has not been proven.

The team that would trade for him would have to have enough money left in their rookie pool to sign him. That is highly unlikely.
I wish more people would read this. It is physically impossible to trade for him. No team has the room left to fit a top 5 pick into their rookie pool.

Maybe not. The rookie cap pool is based on your selection and where they are drafted, it is not the same for each team.
so if a team trades for him, they will have the slotted figure for a 3rd over all pick to work with.
So if that number is say, 30 Million, then they have that figure they can't go above.

It is not like all teams have 50 million to work with, and once it's gone, it's gone.

Or I believe that is the logical way it works. A team that picks 28 in each round has less money to work with, than ateam picking 2nd in each round.
A team that has 14 picks, has more to work with than a team with 5 picks.

From all accounts, Bosa moved out from living with Zeke because Zeke was partying so hard.

Everyone around him seems to say he was very focused on football his last year there.

Of course I wasn't there (nor where any of us) so I do t know for sure about any of these players.

This has not been proven.

It was "reported" he was suspended in college due to marijuana use. Another report claimed it was either marijuana or academics that got him and several other players suspended. The pot rumor was floating around with him but never proven. He looks and sounds like a pothead. Was never that impressed with his play on the field or his interviews.

No it's the Chargers that are trying to short change him. Don't get this twisted, Bosa has done nothing wrong here.

If he's good and can stay off pot, he will make millions. If he loved football as much as money he would be in camp trying to start for
an NFL team. No way he's being short changed in the long run. The Chargers should stick to their guns and policy. If they
don't sign him he will be the one losing lots of money if he goes into next year's draft again.

He's their top pick and will make millions if he's really any good. Why quibble over a few dollars when he should be working hard
to start in the NFL. Just like the real world...A boss offers you a salary and you either take it or hit the road. He'll wind up
making a whole lot less if he goes into next year's draft.

If he goes unsigned, I don't think he can do the NFL combine either, as SD will still hold his rights up to the draft.

I don't think it's over the dollar amount. It is a clause that is in most rookie contracts he does not like. It's about SD recouping money, bonus or guaranteed money if he is released beofre the contract is up.
I need to find where I read that at, and will post it if I do.

We can only go by accounts and if the accounts are correct about all the partying Zeke did then he could end up being trouble. If the accounts were right about him I doubt the Cowboys would have drafted him. Bosa has such a chill sound about him it's concerning and for him to be holding out a couple of weeks into camp when every first round pick has reported makes no sense.

I think he's running out of time which is tomorrow or he won't get to play this year.
He's about to lose a lot more money than the amount they are quibbling over.
I belive tomorrow is the deadline for them to trade him. He has until week 10 before he cant play in 2016 I believe

The Chargers are the outlier here.

Bosa is asking for one of either:
A) no offset language or
B) all or almost all of the guaranteed money paid in year one.

Of the last twelve 2nd, 3rd, or 4th overall players drafted from 2012-2015 ....every single one got at least one these things.

It's the Chargers.
As one article said--they serve a vegetarian only menu, but Bosa is asking for either steak or chicken. Every other team (or almost) offers meat, but not San Diego.

They are now wishing they pulled an Eli Manning on the Chargers..

Btw, the Chargers view is that once they concede, than all future picks will want the same. So it's understanble that they don't want to set a new precedent fro the organization.

This is America...free enterprise...he doesn't have to sign and can go into next year's draft (bad move) if he wants. No slavery in America so
he has to choose...vegetarian plate or long term diet. No money and no food if he doesn't sign.

No one wants Jaylon Smith right now. No one would trade for a player who can't play this year.
You couldn't even get a short coke and bag of planter's peanuts for him. Geez...this ain't
Madden.
I hope you realize I was being sarcastic right.

That's right.
Same goes for San Diego; if they want to not give him what all other teams would, than they risk losing the 3rd overall pick with zero return.
He can then re-enter the draft next year and get paid then.

My guess is that eventually he'll get signed. I think he was at the OTAs.

Sounds like Bosa's agent should have done his research. And SD should have known who the agent was for the man they were drafting. Chances are, he would not have been drafted by them and this wouldn't have been an issue.

You are right that they will lose the draft pick but, they have no money or cap space to lose at this point either. Bosa has lot's
of money to lose as he won't do as well if he reenters next year's draft.

The Chargers are playing Chicken with Bosa and his agent. IMO fairly lame of them especially when all the other teams get the players an either or choice.
