I'm gonna say for the last time I said a couple million. And I live cheap. So saying 10 cars and all that in a lifetime is just stupid. I own 3 cars and all are combined for $7,000 and are running strong, 2 of which I owned for 15 years. So not everyone has to live the big money lifestyle.

you and I have a similar mindset. I've bought two vehicles since 1995 and I still have them both, have no debt and basically retired when I was 43.

frugality, restraint and the ability to stretch a buck goes a long way

you and I see how that can be done with a few million and why we feel we would be "set for life" by our definition of that statement.

For those that define set for life as spending like a banshee until the day you die will be hard pressed to ever generate enough income.

That's your guys opinion. I'm just saying to me as I said in my original post millions let's say 1-3 million to me is set for life. Let's say and this is rare to me, but someone making 40,000 for 50 years that's what 2million. So millions in a few years and a career after football is set for life.
Depends on the person. I get a couple million I pay my house (maybe some additions) buy a new car, sit on everything else and continue working. Maybe even work towards a PHD

Some people make ot rain

Of course... But, there are lots of Jaylon "haters" on this board.
Haters is an overused word. Nobody hates the player, they hate his draft position considering his injuries.

I recieved a dry large inheritance a couple years ago and I can tell you a million dollars is not what it used to be. I became a wealthy man in a short time , and I didn't waste any of the money, but a million or two will not take care of you for life. No way, no how.

Bosa will never make up for the money he loses out on this year and likely will be drafted significantly later next year and will have another year to go until free agency. He has almost nothing to gain by holding out.

Report: Bosa feels Chargers caused ‘irreparable damage’
Joey Bosa has held out longer than any first-round draft pick since the new collective bargaining agreement went into place, and it appears there is no end in sight in his standoff with the San Diego Chargers.

According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, negotiations between Bosa and the Chargers have “turned ugly” and the two sides have not spoken in weeks.

“Bosa feels there is irreparable damage that has been done with the relationship between the team and him,” Cole said. “The fact is the Chargers have not called back in nearly two weeks after Bosa’s agents gave the team a proposal. Bosa feels like he has been disrespected in this whole process and forced to take what the Chargers offered.”

It's his agency. I guarantee that if they told him to sign, then 100% for sure he would have. Now it's elevated to personal feelings by Bosa.
The last three holdouts were from that same agency.
The only difference is that San Diego is not budging.

Would anyone give up our first rounder next year to get him? We could be drafting anywhere but if we go 9-7 or even 10-6 and make the playoffs any pick 20 or later could be a good deal. Or if Romo gets hurt and we picking in the top 10 again it could be a bad deal. I think sticking with what we have is the smart move for now. Should Bosa's holdout linger until Labor day the asking price might come down. I'd trade for him if he could be had for a 2nd.

Nope. I was never terribly impressed with him in college anyways. Not enough for a top 1st rd pick.
