im going to be sick. actually rooting for him to take the indy deal to save our team and salary cap...
It's definitely not a wash they'd both pay full boat federally and Murray would only save state taxes on games played in Indy. So let's say the difference is 1.5m in salary. He'd pay an extra 7 percent (Indy state tax) on half of his base. Let's say he gets 9m vs our 7.5. That's an extra tax bill of 315k. A difference of 1.175m into Murray's pocket in Indy. Hardly a wash.
You don't think so? The AFC south is arguably weaker than the NFC east. He can be a winner with the Colts for years to come.

That is what I was thinking. They are almost a lock to win that division every year. They gave Luck. They are a good organization and decent team. Murray can go to the playoffs every year..
Keep in mind that this info is coming from John Clayton. He's the guy who famously said that there was nothing to the TO to Dallas rumors and it would be months before Owens picked his next team.
The day before Owens was in Dallas for his signing press conference.
3.4% income tax as opposed to 0%
Still doesn't come close to making up the difference if Colts offer 9 mil/per
Too much, but I don't believe for a second that Clayton has any idea what Dallas would offer in that situation, anyway. How would that number get out? Why?
Sounds more like a leak from an agent.
Good thing your opinion don't matter to the FO.
John Clayton is on the radio a lot here in Washington. He was just on a local show and said Dallas is going to offer DM 7-7.5 a year. Said that Indy will offer 8-9 and that DM will have a choice to make. Seattle hosts on a kick lately, saying if Lynch retires they can get DM. John shot them down, saying Lynch is going to wait until august to make a decision.
Really? 7.5 per? No way would i give Murray that. 6 MAX. You would pay 7.5 a year for a guy who cant run in the open field? Good thing the FO doesnt listen to you lol
This one move would make it a failure of an offseason.
If Indy were to offer Murray anything near that amount, I would congratulate him, wish him well and offer to drive him to the airport.
