what would his contract cost Dallas? Aside from the issues of which draft pick it would require and how good he still is, could they even afford to pay him given their cap constraints?

If the Cowboys would have to pay the prorated portion of whatever time he was on their roster for his current contract then I think this safely renders this conversation moot:

Nope. Our RBs are fine. Offensive line is the issue. People need to realize that.

What people need to realize is neither are the issue. We have a running back (Murray) averaging almost 5 yards a carry. The issue is for some reason, we just don't run the ball much.

OL is likely the most improved unit this offseason. It's comical to read people blaming the line.

Now that Murray is hurt yet again maybe we should look at getting MJD for a 5th or 6th?

I'd do it, even for a 4th. What would it really mean, another TE, a scrub DB, or a rookie RB. We're definitely not using that pick on a DL.....

Call MJD's agent and jacksonvilles GM and offer our 6th rounder for next year tonight.

Even though he'd only be for the rest of this yr he would help our running game a ton.

He is still a great RB. His problem is Jacksonville is horrible
