Maybe they are trying the "coaching continuity" thing, huh? Since Garrett is now the HC and there is no one else in the wings to take his place perhaps they can now focus on building something instead of trying something different every three years or so.
The team has gone from one of the oldest to one of the youngest in the NFL and despite the 8-8 for the last few years, they are at least average considering the injuries, the salary cap (which is getting fixed) and the "never quit" attitude that the Cowboys have had even though they had players from Home Depot coming in to try and help.
Some of you guys want a new HC each year the Cowboys go 8-8! You cannot build anything doing things that way, period. Now, Garrett has learned a ton of things that he has done wrong, so he is learning and I assume Jerry is letting him do that. But, Garrett has also done a lot of good things with this team and if you and others cannot see that...well, I don't know what to tell you.
I can tell you that if you get your wish, and the next HC named for the Dallas Cowboys comes to town, he is not going to magically make this team into a SB winning team his first, second or third year, because he will want to do different things, and then...here we go again for another 3 or 4 years of not winning a SB. I don't really expect you or some others to understand that continuity in a good way outweighs continually changing things every 2 or 3 years hoping that it will get better, because it does not work that way in today's NFL.
