Jones wants Dez Bryant targeted even 'when he's double covered'

This is the first time that the media, Jones, and fans have been THIS critical of the play calling and overall game plan. This is only healthy in my opinion. No one on this team should be comfortable right now. The players and coaches should feel the heat.

What's it going to be then, eh?

So after we win Sunday and Dez has 150 yards receiving, JJ will look like a prophet.
If so it would be the first time. I cannot remember the last time anything coming out of his mouth that made me say "you know, Jerry Jones was right."

Jerry wouldnt have to make comments like these if we had a competent coach, of course he is to blame for that too.

That is the really sad part. The fans and media have been calling out what should be obvious to the coaching staff. If the don't it would be more of the same.

While Jerry said this using the english language, the actual meaning is completely indecipherable.

"I think it's self-evident. He does need to get involved early. He seemingly has a little habit if he's not involved early it coincides at least with what happens at the end of the second half. All of that is pretty apparent. I know for a fact our staff, and certainly in that case Dez, would be aware of putting that kind of attention to him."

That is crystal clear to Garrett
He's got his marching orders from coach jones

Over the year, I've seen enough of the 6 yard passes and Witten Beasley getting 20 receptions for 90 yards to not entirely disagree with Jerry. We know that just not testing these coverages is not working.

One, Jerry is an idiot when he pulls this stuff.

Two, I believe they do have situations where they expect Dez to be able to beat double coverage, and he probably is the read in some of those situations. That's not the same thing as saying you force the ball to Dez despite the coverage.

I don't think Jerry is an idiot because he is stating the obvious. If you look at every game Dez and Romo played together for the last 3 or 4 seasons Romo would force the ball into Dez, double covered or not. Dez would either force his way into a catch or knock the ball down so it wasn't intercepted, the rate of passes from Romo to Dez being intercepted was exceptionally low.

Dak isn't used to that, he is a young QB trained to thrown only when a WR is open. All Jerry is saying is that Dez is an exceptional talent with a different set of rules, which Romo knows and Dak needs to learn.

Shut up, Jerry. Gah.

The more he talks, the more frustrated you know he is getting. But it doesn't help.

He's telling his fourth round rookie quarterback to force the ball into double coverage.

He is telling the coaches to get their heads out of their *****. Nothing wrong with that!

I think dez, just like the last 88 is a guy you want to get the ball to early and get him involved. He is an emotional leader and it gets him going. That's said you don't throw to him if he is doubled. You move him around and run crossing routes so he's harder to double
The concept of getting him involved early is a good one. The solution is design plays to get him involved, not force the ball to him

A. Jerry is a laughingstock of a GM and owner. He is a clown.

B. When Dez maximizes the opportunities he gets, I will be screaming for this team to use him more. Until then it sounds foolish to try to feed him more at the expense of allowing the QB to lead this offense at the snap the way he sees fit. They should trust that when Dez actually does something that Dak will find him more. It would be nice to hear Dez talking about being a better route runner or holding onto the freaking ball vs. criticizing his madden rating or amplifying attention to his matchup with Norman who is a better player than
Dez.

C. Back to Jones being a clown. Is there any doubt that his prized Zeke will start even though he's not the best back on the team? Morris: production, check. Character, check. Head down and focused on the next rep and not 2K yards, check. Facing previous team, check. Did not avg 2 yards per carry, check. Starter... Of course not.

This should not be said publicly, he should just tell his puppet.

My take on his jerry speak, is he wants the ball thrown to dez, dbl covered or not.

I cant blame him for wanting more passes to dez, he is paying him 14 mil a year, so 1 pass for 8 yards makes him look like a idiot.
