I have no problem with Williams, I do hope the best for him but backup RB and being a big part of our offense is not the same. I would not want to go into the season with Randle as my starter any more than I would want Williams being my starter. As role players fine

So, just to clarify. The woman went to Randle's hotel where he was staying at 3AM. They had an argument, and because of that she thought she should call the police. The police did not see this to be a domestic violence issue when they responded. The police however did find a joint in the room.

Nope, you're supposed to be outraged when this fool gets himself a drug suspension or some other type of suspension that actually hurts the team. Yes, this was a very minor infraction, but it's only a symptom of the real problem. The real problem is that Randle is an idiot. You should also be outraged at the posters on here who actually thought Randle would be a viable replacement for Murray, which is also incredibly dumb.

I'm hardly a pothead, but I still recognize that marijuana is small potatoes. Like, really really small potatoes. Again, though, this incident is a lot more about staying out of compromising situations than it is about a joint or a girl in a hotel room.

If you have an NFL gig, you simply have to stay out of this sort of drama. It can kill your career, and it definitely will keep a team from giving you a big deal. Not because of the joint, but because of the time you might miss because of the joint. I could be baked out of my mind right now as I type and still be like 'dude, that was a stupid situation you got yourself into' and there wouldn't be anything hypocritical about it. Randle is simply proving again that he's to undependable to trust as a starter on your team. So, we know that now. He can be a role player, but we ought to be on to the next guy if we're looking for a long-term solution not named 'Murray. '

This is where I stand as well.

The incident itself may be relatively minor, but the guy shows poor judgement and cannot be trusted. I'm OK if he stays on to be a special teams guy and get the ball occasionally to spell Murray or whoever the main ball carrier is. When his rookie contract runs out, he and the team can move on.

But to be your bell cow ball carrier? To replace DeMarco Murray? No way.

I'm sorry but the perpetual 8-8 seasons drove me crazy. This was the first season we made quantitative progress and I do not want to regress. DeMarco keeps Romo vertical along with the assortment of other things he does very well. He weathered many a storm this year and practically carried the team at times. That is what I want returning.... Not weed boy, Dunbar, Williams, or some unproven NFL draft pick. That spot is too critical and Romo's window continues to slowly close...

I don't know why the stuff ain't legal.. I work at a place where we get tested yearly so I don't smoke. But one of my coworkers drinks a quart of jack every 3 days and its OK cause the company can't do anything about that..

"Joseph Randle was NOT arrested. He was cited with a ticket, and the police officer then left his hotel room."

"There was zero "violence" of any kind, domestic or otherwise. He was asking three people to exit his room who didn't want to leave.

"It was loud. Cops were called. Ticket issued. People and officer left. He went to bed."

Wichita Police also issued a response, saying it was an arrest:

"Recently some questions have been raised about the difference between a Notice to Appear (NTA) and an arrest. An NTA is basically a citation for a misdemeanor crime. It is technically an arrest and an arrest report is filled out but the person isn’t booked into jail. The person is released with an agreement to appear for a set court date. This helps reduce overcrowding and jail expenses. It is common practice for certain non-violent misdemeanor crimes such as shoplifting and possession of marijuana.

It was the mother of his children, not his homeboys he grew up with that he can't seem to break away from. This just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
