I'm just saying I don't think views on weed is at issue. I have no problem at all if they legalize it and the league gives the go ahead on players using it but as of now they have not.

And I expect that opinion from a great deal of people out there... most of which engage in recreational use of marijuana.

If this was a one time thing, I'd laugh it off. But now in less than 6 months, he's made two pretty stupid mistakes that calls into question his decision making.

If the Cowboys want to move on from him, I can't see how anyone would have an issue with that.

How you react to this news really depends on your opinion of marijuana usage. Judging by what I am reading in this thread, we have a lot of potheads at CZ.

I'm hardly a pothead, but I still recognize that marijuana is small potatoes. Like, really really small potatoes. Again, though, this incident is a lot more about staying out of compromising situations than it is about a joint or a girl in a hotel room.

If you have an NFL gig, you simply have to stay out of this sort of drama. It can kill your career, and it definitely will keep a team from giving you a big deal. Not because of the joint, but because of the time you might miss because of the joint. I could be baked out of my mind right now as I type and still be like 'dude, that was a stupid situation you got yourself into' and there wouldn't be anything hypocritical about it. Randle is simply proving again that he's to undependable to trust as a starter on your team. So, we know that now. He can be a role player, but we ought to be on to the next guy if we're looking for a long-term solution not named 'Murray. '

Not any more for me. Once my job required testing that was the end of it. My personal feelings had nothing to do with it. It came down to what is important and what was not. My job puts a roof over my head, it allows me put food on the table and to have a good life so it was not a hard choice to make. I would figure a job where you are making the money they do would be important enough to not use but some will continue and put their team at risk

It's not out of the question that Ryan Williams could be the starter next season.

It all goes to the ability to make good decisions. Yes, marijuana usage in and of itself, is a small potato but it rarely is the only bad decision that a marijuana user is making.

Then good on you but I fear you are the exception rather that the rule when it comes to marijuana usage.

That is what gets me, Williams could not beat out Randle or Dunbar but low and behold he is going to become the bell cow for this team. God help us. lol

It's just people that have some thing against Murray for what ever reason. He fumbles to much, isn't fast enough, I even saw a reporter say he can't move the pile. Off season agendas are great. Never mind his accomplishments and that the HC and star players including the O line has gone out of their way to keep him here. What do they know?;)

To say Williams did not beat out Randle or Dunbar and conclude he is not very good, ignores the reality that he did do well in the preseason and training camp.

I agree, not many 1,800 yard backs, NFL leading rusher are being told anyone can do that. Fact is anyone can't just do it. Lynch is a great back he also has a very good OL in front of him but does not change the fact of his ability. There are some backs who are better runners than Murray but there are not many great all around backs guys you depend on to block, catch as well as run the ball and fact still remains Murray did it better than anyone. 400 yards better than the 2nd leading rusher.

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has been cited for a drug charge in Wichita.

Wichita Police say marijuana was found in the hotel room where Randle, who played for Wichita Southeast, was staying.

According to police, Randle and a 22-year-old woman were in a room at the Waterwalk Hotel in the 700 block of S. Main.

Officers were called to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at the hotel, when they arrived, they found marijuana in the room.

Randle, 23, was given a citation and a court date on one count of marijuana possession.

According to police, the report stated there was a weapon but Randle's friend took it with him.

There were no arrests made on the disturbance call.

If this happened during the season he would probably be cut already. However, it's off season and nothing needs to be done so it won't be and memories of this will fade slowly UNLESS he pulls another stupid stunt.
But the FO will now think it needs to increase it's offer to Murray or draft another RB because Randle is not reliable.

How many "stupid stunts" does he get?

He did well he did not do enough and has been in the NFL since 2011 he is not some rookie. he did not prove enough in Arz and was released before the 2014 season and now with Dallas and still trying to prove himself. I have no issue with it since he pay is nothing and if he does not show he is capable of being on the 46 man roster then Dallas can walk away from the deal no problem. I'm not against him by any means I do find it funny that some want to put their eggs in the basket of a guy who since 2011 has done nothing
