If it's just some weed, i doubt he gets cut.

I doubt the weed by itself would get him cut, but you add previous transgressions, and you would have to believe the counterproductive culture Randell is creating does not sit well with Jason Garrett and could result in him being cut to a) send a message and b) not messing up the RKG chemistry that is building in th e locker room. I personally do not see Randall ' talent level out weighing the negative impact that his actions have on the team. If I were JG/JJ I would cut him and not look back.

Josh Gordon v2.0

To all of you that say we should rely on this clown to do what Murray does, I continue to laugh......

I agree...Garrett doesn't need this Knucklehead "Baby Mama Drama" any longer....
Trade him for a bag of potato skins and let's move on to Gurley...right now!

Romo's window is closing. I don't trust Randle, Dunbar, Williams, or any rookie RB to do what Demarco does and keep Romo upright. I'm not buying this rookie plug in mess.

DeMarco needs to return.

If this happened during the season he would probably be cut already. However, it's off season and nothing needs to be done so it won't be and memories of this will fade slowly UNLESS he pulls another stupid stunt.
But the FO will now think it needs to increase it's offer to Murray or draft another RB because Randle is not reliable.

Honestly, I don't really think the biggest problem with be the possession charge. The biggest problem will be the domestic thing. The NFL is trying to focus on this in a huge publicity campaign and the fact that domestic violence has been reported, regardless of if chargers were brought, that's going to be a problem for him. He is going to get massacred by the PC types and talk shows. That's just how they do it.

I understand young people having issues, especially where children are involved but he's just stupid.

Would rather trade him. He still has value based on his 2014 production (and potential). Either way, he needs to be off this team. Our core is focused on a SB, the role players better be just as focused if not more.

Off season stupidity should not be tolerated. Especially by a role player. Red needs to Jimmy his ace.

I'm not really one of those people that thinks that athletes should be held to a higher standard, but they are. I am also one who advocates that people are innocent until proven guilty. With that having been said, it doesn't look like the Cowboys can count on Randle to keep his head on straight. The NFL is in the process of cleaning up its image. I would think that Randle is starting to get centered in Goddell's cross hairs. If this turns out to be a legitimate criminal case, I think the Cowboys should be looking to move on from Randle if a reasonable opportunity to do so arises.

From here on out, he's going to get tested more than a substitute teacher in a detention hall. And as stupid as he is, he will fail one of those tests.

Dallas Cowboys' Randle arrested in Wichita
Updated: Wed 10:39 AM, Feb 04, 2015

WICHITA, Kan. — Dallas Cowboys running back and Wichita native Joseph Randle was arrested in Wichita early this morning, police said. Randle was arrested after police responded to a domestic violence call in the 700 block of South Main at about 3:00 a.m.

Police said a 22-year-old woman reported she and Randle were arguing in a hotel room. Officers found marijuana in the room, and arrested Randle on a drug charge.

The couple has a child together. The woman told police she was at the hotel so Randle could see his child. He was given a court date on a misdemeanor drug charge.

Randle was arrested in October, 2014 for shoplifting underwear and cologne from a Dallas area mall.

So he was getting stoned to see his kid. All the more reason to cut bait.

Cowboys running back Joseph Randle cited on drug charge in Wichita

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has been cited for a drug charge in Wichita.

Wichita Police say marijuana was found in the hotel room where Randle, who played for Wichita Southeast, was staying.

According to police, Randle and a 22-year-old woman were in a room at the Waterwalk Hotel in the 700 block of S. Main.

Officers were called to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at the hotel, when they arrived, they found marijuana in the room.

Randle, 23, was given a citation and a court date on one count of marijuana possession.

According to police, the report stated there was a weapon but Randle's friend took it with him.

There were no arrests made on the disturbance call.

Randle owes his "friend" big time for hiding ... uh, removing... the weapon before the authorities arrived. Otherwise, this embarassing situation become even more problematic. But who is really surprised that Randle was going to pull another Randle? Stupid is as stupid does. And Randle in his heart of hearts may actually be a good person, who knows, but he is definitely all kinds of stupid.

No matter what, I hope he steps up and takes care of his kid.

A lot of outrage over a joint. Good lord, grow up people.

His biggest mistake was the idiots he let into his room.

I guarantee i can count on one hand the amount of guys who actually care if he smokes weed. He shows up to practice so who cares?

I've known parents who've indulged and been amazing parents to their children, and I know "christian households" that had no business having kids.

I'll reserve judgment until theres actually a character issue. A joint does not qualify.

It's not the joint, it's the judgement, or the misfortune of being in yet another situation where he's drawing attention to himself.
What this says to me is that the guy's talented enough to remain on the roster and earn snaps, but not mature or stable enough to rely on or consider extending at this point. Since I don't think we were really building our RB position around him, it's probably mostly a non-issue. But he's pretty much taken himself out of serious consideration as a long-term starter at this point. I certainly wouldn't count on him not being a knucklehead, anyway. This is a guy who needs to stay out of the press, heading into a prove-it season. It's just dumb to get into this sort of jackpot over a girl and a joint.

.

Well get the NFL to change it's rules. Until then, the rules need to be followed.. they especially need to be followed by a player that has already been in trouble not that long ago. For him to be in an environment where there is pot is just foolish on his part. If this was his first problem, I'd be less inclined to be bothered by this.
We'll see if the head coach and GM minimize this as much as you're trying to. If Garrett remains true to his "right kind of guy" approach....then Joe Randle is history.
