Here is the full statement from Gary Ayers, whose law firm is representing Randle:

“Joseph Randle regrets that he was recently involved in a party in a Wichita, Kansas hotel that ended with the Wichita Police being called. There are no criminal charges. A woman who was present at the party has filed a protection from abuse lawsuit, which Randle believes to have no merit. Randle asked the woman to leave the party and go home, which she refused to do.

Contrary to the woman’s allegations, Randle did not threaten her or brandish a gun at any time. Randle has retained counsel who will contact the Wichita police to offer cooperation with any further investigation they may want to conduct. Until that time, Randle has been advised by counsel to not discuss the incident. He very much appreciates the many statements of support from his family, friends, and fans.”

He needs to tell the NFL, the club, Calvin, and that one release by his attorney then let this die on the vine. Don't stir the stink. And nothing good happens after 12. Party at home with people you trust. Lay with dogs you get fleas and all those other corny but true cliches. He needs to stay out of trouble and the press.

I think a handler and a curfew like Dez had will do him good. Does Jerry think he's worth the trouble though? He's mentioned him several times before in terms of being impressed.

She wants a restraining order but she was at his hotel room...

She says she was threatened with the gun after her friends were asked to leave his room. He supposedly waved the gun around and threatened to shoot up the car and allegedly broke out the window in her car with their baby inside as she was leaving.

They didn't find a gun. Saying he's got a gun is the best way to get the police excited when somebody calls them.

You seemed confused as to the timing of her going to the hotel and the restraining order. She didn't file the order until AFTER the fight at the hotel.

She said there was a gun and one of his friends left with it before the police got there. That's all I know. The window being busted out seems easy enough to confirm.

My understanding is the requested restraining order was granted... that's not a big deal, it's not hard to get one. The holes in her story are troubling. She claims he was waiving a gun but no gun was found. The DV claim is unlikely to bare fruit in my opinion. But her claims are not the ones Randle should be worrying about.

You seem to be making assumptions about what was said when. You have her account off of the restraining order petition cause that is all the press has outside of police and attorney statements.

You don't know and you do a disservice by filling in the gaps. Deduction is one thing but this is not that. Have you read police statements from that night? Can you discuss specifics regarding the inconsistencies the police cited in dropping the case? Have you read statements from any of the other's present?

If you cannot then I don't understand why it is so hard to take a wait and see approach. It costs you nothing.

He asked about why she would file a restraining order and then go to his hotel. That is not how it happened.

She went to his hotel. An argument ensued. She called the police. THEN she filed the abuse order.

I'm not making any assumptions. I'm just relaying things she said. You have made up your mind to disregard everything she has said. That's fine, it's your prerogative. Just don't tell me what I read isn't real. I'm not making anything up.

How else would she file the restraining order? The judge is not going to come to the Hotel for her to file it right then.

There is no confirmation of the broken window other than her statement that I know of. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I don't think the police have officially released that information.

That is her story. Other reports indicate that Randle either wanted custody of the kid(s) or wanted more time with them.

There were some reports that she requested it and it was not granted.

How does that restraining order read? "Joe Randle must stay out of his own Hotel Room when is ex-girlfriend is going to come over to his Hotel room. "

Does she at least call to tell him she's coming to his room or is he required to be psychic?

I don't know what I'm missing here. You were implying that she went to his room so she shouldn't be able to get a restraining order.

But the argument happened at the hotel room. Then he waved a gun and broke a window, allegedly.

She didn't know BEFORE going to the room he would get that crazy. She filed the abuse order AFTER he did all these things because she was now afraid of him.

They grant restraining orders because someone is exhibiting stalking type behavior. If she came to his room, then there is no evidence that he pursued her.

She applied for the order the NEXT DAY, after he threatened her

When she went to the hotel the night before they were still on speaking terms. This is about future encounters.

A restraining order is in his best interest. It might be mutual. We don't know a lot.

Restraining orders are supposed to be used to keep people away that have exhibited the propensity to confront the person being protected. He didn't go to her house or work to confront her. She came to were he was located.

Misuse of restraining orders is claimed to be widespread. In a 1993 newsletter, Elaine Epstein, then-president of the Massachusetts Bar Association, has remarked, “Everyone knows that restraining orders and orders to vacate are granted to virtually all who apply…In many cases, allegations of abuse are now used for tactical advantage [in divorce and child custody],” and a 1995 study of Massachusetts restraining orders found that under 50% are justified by even allegations of physical violence with some restraining orders being granted on the basis of vague, undefined fears.

I think you are very confused. If he broke the window and it was connected with the domestic issue, the police would have checked out that allegation. If the window was broken 100% chance he is arrested and charged with Domestic violence. Hell if you get mad at your wife, grab a lamp and throw it down on the floor (Not at her or near her, just at your feet) you will be charged with domestic violence.

AS far as her abortion thing....her credibility is so low with me that it seems like she is just trying to paint him in a bad light in the media. This is her big shot and she is taking it.
