Josh Allen Anybody?

After the season opener for the Bills versus the Rams and their second game versus the Titans, people on this board praised Josh Allen as if he could never do any wrong barring injury.

I am just curious if after that 18 of 34 for 205, 2 pick game he lost yesterday against a team who was a double digit division underdog, I wonder if those people feel the same way about ole Josh today.

Dare I say it but what if Dak did the same against the G-Giants, Eagles or Commanders given a similar situation. By the way, why isn't Aaron Rogers not elevating the players around him? I know Tom is old as hades and he has a plethora of skins on the wall, but it seems to me he's struggling mightily. Did you see that emotional hug between him and Leftwich after they squeaked out that win yesterday? All I'm saying is, winning in the NFL on a consistent level ain't as easy as the highly sometimes biased and negative talking points some of us make on this board.

My old coach told us after we lost to a much inferior team that lucky teams can beat a good team any day...he'd rather us give our all and be lucky and win, than to be good and lose. That always stuck with me....

Clean your face. Dak appreciates it.

The fact is, Allen, in his 5th year, has led the Bills to playoffs in 2020, 2021 and likely in 2022. I believe Allen has more playoff wins (3) than Dak (1).
Dak is in his 7th year and has 1 CAREER win as a QB.

Allen will probably lead the Bills to as many playoff wins THIS SEASON alone as Dak as career playofF wins.

So, Ye, this is like comparing a mule (Dak) to a thoroughbred (Allen).

Get back to me, harbor boy, when Dak leads the Cowboys to his 2nd career win in the playoffs.
In the meantime, do clean your face. Dak thought it was awkward, me boy.
:muttley:

Ive also been attacked and called names and been wished harm...they dont care and allow it but censor me for being reasonable.

Its a desperate psychology trap hoping to trigger me.

This is a daily occurrence, normally perpetrated by the Dak homers against those who question anything related to Dak.

Don't think Dak is the best QB in the history of the NFL? You're going to get attacked, and the mods generally let quite a bit slide

Your old coach was wrong to teach you that.
It's how you play the game that matters. If you play it right you will win more than you lose.
And Dak hasn't played at Josh Allen's level. If Dak had a history of beating good teams and had a bad game, we'd figure things happen like that.
But Josh Allen will have more great games against good teams. Dak never has played at Allen's level.
That the difference.

Josh Allen has exactly 0 championships and things are starting to go sour with the injury.

Looks like he has an ucl injury, worst case would be the dreaded tommy john surgery, hoping for him is i not that bad, he could still grip and throw but that was during the game still.

Most fans don't watch other teams so they are ignorant. They see a full cowboy game and all Daks Good and Bad throws. They only see NFL highlights of the other QBs. I'm not a Dak hater or fanboy. He is what he is, a slightly above average QB and that to me is sufficient to get the job done. In comparison I think Josh Allen is better/more gifted than Dak. But I see things that Josh Allen gets away with (i.e. double clutching before a pass) that Dak can't. Because of arm strength Josh can double clutch and still the ball can get to where it needs to when it needs to. If Dak does that it goes behind the receiver.

Great points and observation as Josh is certainly a more physically gifted quarterback than Dak. You know your football sir!

However, that's the reason Josh was the 7th overall pick in his draft class and Dak a mere 4th rounder who has made it to where he is by happenstance (Romo's unexpected departure) along with his sheer will, self motivation and good to great athletic ability. Hopefully he can become as cerebral as Peyton Manning and win a couple of titles before his career comes to a close. Go Cowboys!

yea i'll take Josh allen over almost any QB except mahomes right now and then it might come down to cost.

Josh Allen took his team to an AFC Champ game. He has had more playoff success than Dak.

You really shouldn't be trying to compare the two at this point.

why do you think Allen is elite and Dak isn’t? That’s the simplest answer for the double standard. Football isn’t difficult to understand, nuance is. And i’m not sure you and nuance have been formally introduced

If you cant see the difference, I cant help you.
