We already live in a world that limits speech and has consequences for things people don't feel are appropriate come join us.
 
Doesn't bother me. I did stupid stuff in high school and nearly everyone does. None of us would hold up to much scrutiny if everything we did could come back to us.

Side note, just another reason to avoid social media where you can look foolish.

Besides, the word he was saying is used in pop culture, rap and on the field all the time. All the time.

Lol Coal miner autocorrect gets me sometimes. My grandfather was a great man and ahead of his time. Worked 40 years in the mines and had lots of friends from all nationalities.

I'm NOT INSENSATIVE about this stuff..but I live it.I have teens and let me tell you,its a new generation! lol...WHAT THEY THINK IS SOCIALLY OK,would curl your toes 15 years ago. Raising teens is always a learning experience and teaching moments abound. That's why I'm gonna give this kid a mulligan. Throwing the baby out with the bathwater is stupid if your using dumb comments a kid used as a teen. If we were all held to those ridiculous standards as a teen,then we wouldn't be able to go out the door!! Mistakes get made man..its part of learning in life and becoming a better man or woman. I'm so over this.

DITTO..to your point..I been off social media for about 5 years,and even then it was when My Dad passed away and I was reconnecting with distant relatives. I have no need to be on facebook or anything but once in a blue moon.
 
Social media is where one goes when you have way too much time on your hands. NOTHIN IS PRIVATE and you risk triggering a loon.

So, what do you think should be a fair "consequence" for Josh's tweet when he was 15? Millions of dollars? A football career? Prison time? Draw a line for us.

Oh I agree with the former. I don't think this kid shouldn't play in the NFL for what he did. IF it was up to me? Probably shouldn't even be penalized. But I'm not going to sit here and make reckless statements like "Oh this is a non-issue". It may seem that way for the group of people who aren't the ones being offended. And if the worst thing that happens to this guy is he gets drafted later in the draft? That's not the worst punishment in the world. People have been put to jail or killed for messing around with some of the language he was using.

I'm victim of this especially recently with the #METOO campaign.....guys have lost careers.....like the comedian Louis CK....in my eyes what he did.....was disgusting but seemed minimal in comparison to what Harvey Weinstein was doing and wasn't of the same ilk. But I say that as a man. I can't relate to a woman and how she may feel.

Joe Mixon lost millions, endorsements for a mistake he made at 18 or 19. Jourdan Lewis didn't even make a mistake and was falsely accused and lost money being picked later. La' El Collins was wrongfully accused of murder and lost his 1st round status.........Josh Allen won't have the same fate as these guys. He will maybe fall a few slots in the draft......a small price to pay for a small mistake he made when he was younger.

Maybe he should be tried for war crimes? Hung publicy? The gallows? Sent to Siberia?...errr Cleveland? lol..But seriously Atlanta...i have watched complete triggered meat heads like Shannon Sharpe..Skippy Bayless(Who I like most of the time)...talk down abou this kid as if he committed an unforgivable crime against humanity!!!!! Its plain nuts. Virtue signaling on steroids. WOW!! THE YOUNG MAN made a dumb mistake as a kid..jeesh. Somebody is trying to sabotage another team is what going on here. This player deserves better.

Your were never jumped it to be over it in the first place. I agree that this shouldn't be looked at as life defining but your first post was on some it didnt offend me so why are others offended. That's what I was talking about. I don't even agree with a lot of things folks get up in arms about but I do understand when I didn't care about those things in the first place I probably should chill on my I'm over it talk. If you disagree that's ok too we all live different lives that have got us our different perspectives on things.

Joe Mixon....... he did punch a woman in the face. He could have been Ray Rice'd out of the league. Every case is different. Before the draft is not the time to be accused of crimes or linked to crimes b/c teams don't know at that point if they will be able to play. They aren't mandated punishments.

I think we can draw a line between talking smack and crime.

sounds like some on here think that Allen should be banned from the NFL. Interesting reaction to a kid that made a dumb comment. Everyone is trigger happy. Not going to cast stones on this young mans character and try to trash his career before it ever gets going. That's plain wrong. Everyone should have a chance at redemption.

Josh that you? It's a non story to you but you're not part of the group being offended so it's always going to sound hollow coming from you. You don't have to like but that's how stuff goes
