I am sorry, I didn't mean for it to come off as a religious comment. (being super sincere mods) I meant it as pov not religion.

I'm not sure how many people on this board have heard Brent speak. For those that haven't, he's a well-spoken guy. Not a fool.

So he was at Privae Club on Walnut Hill near I-35 (formerly Beamers, formerly a sports bar, formerly a 2-plex theater there). Comedian that night and a lot of players showed up to watch his act (can't remember who it was ..) ...

But it was the night before he had to show up for a flight up to Cincinnati for a Sunday game.

Because the NFL offers free rides without any names being mentioned, to any player that wants to call them for a ride home, you and me want to blame Brent for being stupid for not taking the ride.

Hey not a great part of town. Dudes a few blocks away cleaned out my Public Storage just a few years ago.

So Brent, who probably has a decent car (probably a very FINE car), thinks: I can take the NFL's offer of a ride home but I have to leave my car at this club and it will probably be vandalized or stolen and I'm going up to Cincinnati for a few days and I don't have any way to drive my car home so it will probably be picked over or gone when I get back.

Nice that the NFL will give you a ride home if you're drunk but the teams should bring an extra guy out to DRIVE YOUR CAR HOME (and give you a ride at the same time) so it won't be stolen etc. It would take one extra guy coming out. And probably save some lives.

It's called comprehensive vehicle coverage with a low deductible. If someone jacks his car then it's covered.

That is no excuse for driving that drunk. I hope you don't think that's an excuse.

The autopsy showed Jerry's BAC was below the legal limit, wasn't it? And, I'll reiterate it because I think it's important, he'd very likely have survived if he'd clicked his seat belt.

This was just two young guys thinking they're invulnerable and being unbelievably stupid. They weren't invulnerable, and now one of them is dead and the other's life has taken a drastic turn for the worse. All they had to do was switch keys and wear belts.
