Josh Freeman is the QB reality of the NFL

Can some one fill me in on this. Why will Peterson get traded. Does he want a trade?

The Vikings are 1-5, they've already had their bye week. There is no relief in sight for them. They just made a big pick up, signing Greg Jennings. Jennings' cap hit is 7 million next year, and 11 million the year after that. It'll be difficult to cut him next year given his signing bonus.

In other words the Vikings aren't going to win this year, and they aren't going to win next year. They're going to have to go into rebuilding, and it doesn't make sense to rebuild with a 29 (2014) year old running back who would have 8 years of heavy wear and tear on him who is going to cost 14.4 million dollars next year versus the cost of trading him which is 4.8 million.

Trading him now while you still can gives you better value than when he hits 30. And the fact is the Vikings aren't getting any better.

Frazier will be fired, and the new coach is going to want to properly rebuild this team. Getting value from Peterson is the obvious way to facilitate that rebuilding.

Freeman is better than he is showing tonight. To judge him off this performance isn't fair to him.

I didn't watch the game last night, so I can't judge him off of his performance last night. I did watch him quite a bit the last couple of seasons. He hasn't been too good.

It wasn't like Freeman was missing the receivers few inches, he was missing them by several yards or very high or throwing at the ground, uncatchable throws, it wasn't a bad day, it was a horrendous day, I haven't seen that ineptitude in years from starting QB.

they need to sell tickets. they need to convince the players on the team, they want to win. trading AP would jeopardize both of those. Not happening.

Did you see that one hand sack by Jared Allen? In Madden i see him for Miles straight up.

The Vikings had Ponder ready to play, but Matt Cassel was inactive. I truly feel if either one of them had been playing for the Vikings last night, they could have walked away with a win. Leaving Freeman in until the bitter end just made Frazier look obstinate and incompetent, IMO.

I actually stopped watching that game thinking very highly of our coaching staff. That was brutal.

What kind of offensive coordinator doesn't take advantage of the Giants blitzing that way? Call some easy, short plays. Wow.

Freeman was thrown to the wolves last night which was unfortunate.

However, I've watched plenty of games that Freeman has played in. He is not taking any team anywhere. He has to be surrounded with a ton of talent so that way he is able to make his occasional great athletic play that teases people into thinking that he could be something.

He has had ample opportunity to show he could be "the guy." He is not and the Vikings have 3 of the same QB on their team right now. They all are not taking a team deep unless surrounded by an immense amount of talent.

One thing for sure the Vikes WR core have some sore ribs this morning. Freeman hung them out to dry with all of his high passes exposing the WR to some big shots in the ribs.

Agreed. He clearly had no chemistry with his receivers at all. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn last night.

That being said, Bill Musgrave should be fired for having a game plan where Freeman throws 53 times, and Adrian Peterson runs the ball 12 times. The game was not out of hand until late.

Frazier looks like a statue out there . Dude has no business being a head coach .

Other than getting his team to the playoffs last year.....

But yeah I agree.... if you can't get your team the playoff at least twice in three years you should be fired....;)

Really? You have to dig deep into the archives of Tampa Bay games to find times when Freeman plays well.

The guy had a 28 game span where he threw 52 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.

Not that hard to find times where he played well.

His completion percentage is below 50 percent over his past 12 games.

That's who he is. He was gawd awful in Dallas last year.

I hope all of you guys who have been trying to run Romo out of town since he got here are watching MNF. This is the reality in the NFL. If your QB isn't really good, you don't have a shot. Do we really need to relive the Anthony Wright, Chutch, QCar, and Testaverde era for some of you guys to get a clue? Sure, he isn't Peyton Manning, but he is the only reason we ever have any glimmer of hope in games.

Anyone who happened to watch the eagles play Sunday should take pause at the thought of breaking in a new qb.
Horrendous

I honestly don't think he should be starting yet at this point as he was signed less than 2 weeks ago haha. I think most quarterbacks would look incompetent if that happened to them...
