I am confused. I look at the box score and I see the Cowboys gave up 269 yards to one of the best offenses in the league. The Eagles average only 4.6 yards per pass and 132 net passing yards. That's a solid performance.

The offense put them in a hole by not scoring in the first half and throwing 3 INTs.
Overall the defense was solid. Unfortunately, they were bad when it counted the most (Fowler's bone head mistake, and the Eagles final run filled td drive)

What are we even talking about? They had 155 yards passing lmao. How the heck do you see that box score and think, “yeah Jourdan Lewis was trash yesterday”.

News flash guys, our corners are not an issue. It’s like we expect shut outs every time or something. He was targeted what 4 times for 2 catches lol? How do you even remember to complain about something with so little impact on the game?

By every metric, we have one of the best pass defenses and secondaries in the league. Somehow JLew is not a part of that lol they do all this in spite of him according to random CZ fans.

I’m not even a huge JLew fan, just don’t understand peoples standards for CB play in 2022. People get beat and talented WR’s make plays. But if you’re holding the opposing QB to 155 passing yards you’re doing just fine in the secondary.

Y’all love to complain about the randomest ish lol

I'm fine with Lewis.

Pass coverage is a weakest-link game. It's not about having studs, it's about not having liabilities. Having 1 Deion Sanders and 4 Mike Jenkins doesn't work as well as having 5 Chidos.

Lewis isn't good, but he isn't a liability, and he works cheap at $4M a season. That's what the doctor ordered. We can go 6+ and beyond at DB without exposing a liability, and that's why IIRC we have yet to give up a 200 yard passing game.

you mean fowler, Parsons and Diggs correct let's not leave that out oh and cooper 3 Ints, oh and the HC not asking for replay on 1st down then going for it on our own 35?? ... Turpin tripping and taking out far too many KOs giving us short fields.. shall i keep reminding you, im sure i can find more negative plays, maybe the run d being suspect again????

can we stop picking on a player or two we lost as a team.

right i doubt DQ has any incentive playing Lewis over others, has to be good reasons.

I remember woods and awuzie getting this type of feedback and go elsewhere and have good seasons,.

The same folks that complain when this happens with Dak at the helm are doing EXACTLY what they claim the supposed "Dak Stans" do after a loss, but they don't see the hypocrisy.
I see possibly Daks 's staunchest supporter talking like Quinn is an idiot for not playing the guys he would be playing.

Unlike quite a few folks on this board, I can give praise to Dak or Rush when they play well and obliterate them when they don't. I don't feel the need to fall into the cult-like divides on this board. All the Dak-haters that think he's the worst QB in the NFL OR the Dak Worshippers that think (like Stephen Jones) he's a Top 5 QB are all speaking out of their *****. For the last 7-8 games, Dak's been bad...and, he's STILL a better QB than Rush. But, I'm of the belief that Dallas really needs to start looking for someone new.

He was a complete non-factor. I don't recall seeing his name once during the game.
Barr was in a lot of the DB heavy sub packages. I don't think he was on the field at the same time as LVE like he was previous wweeks

No offense but your conjecture about starting Cox over Barr sounds v similar to everyone wanting McGovern starting over C Williams last year, and we all saw how that turned out. Im guessing DQ and co have seen enough out of Jabril to realize he clearly isnt ready or performing at a higher level than either Barr or Vander Esch just yet. As for Bland, I do think we'll see him get more snaps as the year progresses. Remember, were still only in week 7...
Uhhh, I was one of the few defending Connor Williams and had been saying since 2019 that Connor Williams would actually become a much better Center if given the opportunity. Today, now that he's in Miami and used at the correct spot, Connor Williams is one of the best Centers in the league. Even better than our own Center. So I definitely know what I'm talking about...and still say Jabril Cox should replace Anthony Barr.

Lewis and Joseph are trash.

No,

The issue is Joseph should be getting Lewis' reps.

And he's not.

I'm trying to tell you.

Joseph is a lot like Anthony Brown, but he's got too much hate to be CB right now.

He should be filling in for Lewis soon, though, because Kelvin Joseph is going to be better at anything Lewis can do.

If not Joseph, then Bland.

But you never chastised Romo, Runny. Ironic how you do so now with Dak, Rush or whomever is QB.
Are you just dropping bait in the water to see what yanks on the line? Even if that were true, it was so long ago you'd have no way to remember. That said, it's not true at all. I defended him when people put unreasonable expectations on him, or were overly critical, but when he screwed up, I said so, just as I do with anyone else. I've never been one to claim he was perfect. Up until his last couple of years, every time he threw a long ball I almost covered my eyes, worrying about where it was going to come down. When he held onto the ball too long, I complained about it.

The difference is that he carried the team quite a bit, and had to fight through some bad O-line play and no really good running games, so I gave him a little latitude, when warranted.

I have no idea where you came up with this.
