The reporters ask questions specifically about race and then get upset when race is mentioned in the answer.

Reporter: Mr. Jones. Fans are very upset with your draft pics this year.
Jerry: If fans feel some kinda way they should buy their own team and run it like they want.

Fans: DISCRIMINATION!!!!

Crap like this only diminishes the legitimacy of a an otherwise valid an important issue.

Why so much assumption that this is true? Call me skeptical until I see the video or hear the audio. I find it hard to believe someone as high profile as Jerry Jones could say something that would sound that offensive and we didn’t hear about it 5 minutes later. Careers in journalism are made by soliciting responses like that and the ensuing crap storm that follows.

I still don't get why the average fan cares about this. Everybody with a brain knows what's up with the owners. This is a billionaire millionaire problem and average people getting all emotional like it affects them. If the players/players families/players agents don't care why do you?

Well, the mangled English sounds just like Jerry. At least the Bills' owner's statement was sort of coherent.

Yeah that’s not how that comment reads at all. Especially the Bills owner comments.

You know what? I did not even think about that. In my opinion, this would be the first realistic probable infraction (if true) that stood any remote chance of making that happen.
Being forced to sell the team is about the owners votes and not so much about infractions. Given that many ownership, particularly the more powerful ones, have their roots back into the 40s and the historical labor policies of the NFL, I doubt they will do anything. That is before you consider that he has and continues to make them a ton of money

I mean it’s natural that a league full of mostly players of color will have fans who want to see those same people treated fairly regardless if they play football or not.
But again, it seems the average Joe is more emotional about it than the people in the business.

Oh they wouldn’t. Especially Jerry. They are all buddies and friends. They’d never get rid of him.

I stated 'remote chance'. That may actually be zero chance. I do not believe the owners would pressure Jones into selling the team. My comment was based upon my assumption of other infractions that prompted observers to exclaim 'JONES MUST SELL BECAUSE OF SUCH-AND-SUCH', which I have thought had zero chance of ever happening.

Don't lump them all together.
For every Irsay, Jones, Kraft, Snyder, there is a Hunt, Rooney, Blank, Ford.
They’re ALL greedy rich guys who play by their own rules. A group of people complained, and Jones ALLEGEDLY said “so go invest in a team and make your own rules”. Of course there are too many easily offended people out there, especially when it involves a polarizing figure.

Isn’t it odd that when Dallas FINALLY looks to have a real contender, something unrelated comes along with the potential to derail everything? Hmmm….

It depends on how you look at it. Malcolm Jenkins didn't get kicked out.
He didn’t but he toed a fine line. But I will also say I hate their stupid city, stupid name, and stupid team but Eagles owner is actually a classy respectable guy. I respect him. He allows his players to speak.

Jerry's comment is short-sighted and elitist, but it's not nearly as bad as the Bills owner's comment.....in my opinion. It seems like including Jerry Jones' name would be helpful in any lawsuit against NFL owners. That being said, some sensitivity training might be in order.
