The NY Post is calling Jason Pierre-Paul a likely free agent in 2015. Do we go after this guy.

Through injury and underachievement, he has been a disappointment since his breakout year in 2011.

Can Rob turn this guy around?

I assume that you mean Rod (Marinelli). Rob Ryan is gone.

I don't see the Cowboys trying to sign him, but you never know. It seems like he's been injured often, but in reality he's only missed games in one season which was 2013 when he had surgery for a disk problem in his back. He is still only 25.

just a guess but based on our needs i see coming i suspect if we sign much in free agency you could see a cb getting signed more than a high dollar de. now if you could sign him to a cheap prove it deal it might could happen but i would'nt give jpp a big contract.

I would not do it.

He had a great start into this league but kind of diminished after that. Is it because of his inuries IDK.
But he will command alot of money and for that he'd have to show more elite level playing on a consistent basis.

JPP could thrive on the strong side... who knows... if you could get him for cheap enough, I think he might be more appropriate than Spencer.

The production is not there and will not come close to matching what he will ask for and most likely get from some team in free agency. Injuries or not, he has not come close to being the player he was in 2011. His agent will use that 2011 season as a barometer for how JPP should be paid. I don't think we'll see that player again.

I think Spencer is getting quicker every game so I'd wait until the season is done before judging him. That last game he had a really good move to the outside and went right by his man. If Bortles didn't throw it away it would have been a sack.

Just random, but often have the Cowboys signed players from our NFCE rivals. We see former Cowboys go to our rivals, but never vice-versa. I can only think of a handful.

Philippi Sparks, Jackie Harris, I think. Can't think of any else off the top of my head.

As for JPP, I'll pass.

What if the choice is JPP or Melton?

When healthy, JPP is dominant. If T Crawford continues to develop and is healthy - then I'd pay JPP what we would have given Melton next year.

JPP, Ro McClain, Lee, T Crawford, Hitchens would be nice young core to build our front 7 around going forward.

Jackie Harris was with the Titans and the Packers, not an NFC East team.

Free agent signees from NFC East teams I can think of include Sparks, Dan Campbell, Randall Cunningham and Jay Novacek (when the Cardinals were in the NFC East).

Thanks! I don't know why it had Harris in that group. Needless to say not a lot of folks have come this way from the rest of The NFCE.
