I wish Julius well too, but not with Detroit. I hate the freakin' lowly Lions. Being there when the Cowboys came from behind to crush the hearts of the locals was freakin' awesome. Of course we tanked after that, but I digress. I hope Julius signs with any team but Detroit and has a productive career from here on out.

No one seems to be very interested in him. Most teams were glad to see him in the game.

Not much interest in RB's period. Turner was the top FA, so figures once he signs, the other guys will start getting looks. JJ is the next best RB available right now.

That's doesn't say much for the FA class :laugh2:

I think everyone can see something changed, whether it was Parcells getting into his head or overtraining with that quack trainer that David Boston and his brother used. His confidence and ability to cutback just disappeared.

i think he simply bulked up too much and lost his fluidity...

during his first year (particular against seattle) i remember thinking he looked like barry sanders in some of his cuts, and the more he bulked up the more he ran like troy hambrick.

such a shame - i really think he could have been great...:(

I think that is part of it. But I and I think even he doesn't really know what the heck happened. There are too many people who think he looked great in the beginning for it to be imaginary. It may just be as simple as his fluidity left with him becoming stiff. I wish him luck.

I think Julius got too big. Got caught up in trying to be a muscle man and lost a lot of his quickness and cutting ability.

On the bright side, at least he feels good when asking which way the gym is.

I wish him the best and hope he does well where he lands.

i agree, he is too top heavy now, hence his poor balance and the reason why he is so easily arm tackled.

What is really strange is that he had that monster game against Carolina in 2005 and some others that were pretty good. He even started 2006 pretty well. But late in 06, except for the Playoff game, he went downhill. He barely looked the same in 07.

Best of wishes to J. Jones except when he plays the Cowboys... He had some promise that first year and then went downhill for whatever reason, he doesn't have enough power in his legs to become a monster running back.

Because I miss the Cowboys, I went back and enjoyed watching all those games we won. Gotta admit Julius made some great plays in the middle of the season. He was running strong and really picking up the yardage; he also lots plenty of yardage cause so many penalties wiped them out. Wish him the best. Not sure Lions the team for him cause I don't think there OL is that good which translates to not opening holes for him. But wish him the best.

Maybe him not having confidence in his OL will be the best thing for him.

And he usually dropped after first contact too.

I've always screamed at the TV because of that. He trained too hard on his upper body and little on his lower body.

Kevin Jones was just on espn news and he looked high or like he hadnt slept in a week.

He said something very odd.

"hard work comes with success"

Am I crazy or is that just back asswards.

Oh well. Good luck JJ. I still like him and wish he had worked out more like he was going in his first 2 years than the last year.
