I thought you OWNED a motel. Man, I had a graveyard shift once in my life when I was very young. I HATED it. You have my sympathy.

LOL... actually, this is the only shift I'd even consider working in the hotel biz...

Guests ask me all the time "how can you stand working that shift??"

I tell them "well, there's two answers to that question, one serious, the other a little more playful...

The serious answer is I used to work as a golf pro, and working this shift, I can play golf any day I feel like it, and the weather's nice... the more playful answer is you almost never see a BOSS at 4 in the morning"...

Seriously, I've been doing it for goin' on 25 years now, I'm used to it... I'm generally wide awake at 3 AM, even on my days off... my schedule is so whacked that you'll find me ironing dress shirts while watching movies on DirecTV at 3 AM most every Tuesday morning...

Its not just the snakes, we have 2 of the most deadly spiders as well.

God did that just to make us tough lol.

Well, I lost all of my enthusiasm for visiting Australia when I learned about the snakes... bad enough that I wind up killing 2 or 3 copperheads every summer, and have to go out and look around before I can let my dog out to do her business...

OTOH, your beer... oh, your beer... it's enough to make me wish I was still a drinking man, but diabetes put an end to that...

Actually, I don't work all that hard... it's an easy job, which is precisely why I do it... 15 years of 75 hour work weeks in the golf biz just beat me down, I ain't no Type A personality...

My house was paid for, I didn't have to make big bucks.... good thing, 'cause I don't...
