Just a win today not good enough *MERGE*

Give me a 7-6 win. I don't care. I want to be 8-3.

This very attitude is what keeps Wade Phillips from ever being more than an average coach who falls apart down the stretch

When you believe in playing "just good enough" to win, improvement is discouraged

The Raiders have our number, especially in Dallas......This is a short week. Our offense has struggled for 2 weeks in a row. I will take any kind of win we can get.

BTW, If we go 16-0 but win every game like 10-6 or 7-3, does that mean we are not as good as our record? NO.....all that matters is winning the game. Style points are for fantasy owners and post season awards.

just give me wins.

Whatever gets us to 8-3, but I'm hoping the offense finds a rhythm.

LOL @ "improvement is discouraged." Did this really make sense to you in your head before you posted it? Or did you even think it through to a point where logic actually entered into the picture? I'm thinking not.

All we "need" is a win, whether it's by one point or 17. That's all we "need." We don't "need" to win by 17. How a team could ever prepare to win only by one point or by 17 points is beyond me. That someone would think it's possible to prepare for a game just enough to barely win is beyond me as well.

But if it is possible. I hope they prepare just enough to win by 14 points every week. I think preparing to win by 17 points would probably be too tiring. Oh wait, that's all nonsensical BS.

Of course, you're the goof that actually thought we'd go 8-8 this year. LOL.

Amen.
We'd all love 35-0, but just get us to 8-3. Just keep winning. Period.

And stay healthy! That's the real key. Give me a 13-10 win with absolutely no injuries!

this is what i agree with. last year we went in the tank when barber broke his toe. we would have beat the steelers if we had barber last year then we would have made the playoffs. a win is very important and to stay healthy.

Not looking impressive but getting the win might not be good enough right afterward, but come next week and the weeks to come, just getting the win is damn good enough.

When you win by one point over an awful team at home, you have A LOT to work on. Wade Phillips doesnt believe that, though. He is perfectly content with playing jsut good enough to win and ignoring all our faults as long as we win. Most coaches would work relentlessly to improve upon a 1 point win over one of the worst teams in football. Wade? He'll come out today with the exact same mindset, we'll make the exact same mistakes, and we'll probably once again struggle against a bad team.

I really thought you'd be out of the prediction business by now given your track record.

Congratulations on having the balls to wear your ignorance about the game of football so prominently.

They need to go out and show they have some continuity on offense and score some points. They should put up 30+ points and put this Raider team away. Get Austin, Williams and Jones more involved. Use Ogltree on the slants. Folk needs to kick the ball through the upright.

A 13-10 or something like this win will not help, not after two weeks of struggling offense and the monster schedule ahead.

Show some passion and grow some kahunas today and kick the frikin Raiders arse!

They've given up 234 points through 10 games or 23.4 pts per game. I hope we do put up 30+ but no reasonable person should expect it.

I kind of agree because the offense has to get back on track if we wanna win a game next month.

While the W is always the most important thing, I do believe the offense needs to play well today so they can have some confidence going into the toughest part of our schedule. Ultimately everyone would rather have an ugly win over a pretty loss, but I do think we need to play well.

And what did that team do? They wont their next 4 by double digits on their way to the Superbowl title.

That team also had a track record of finishing strong and winning championships. This team? Not so much.

Probably the worst comparison anyone has ever made in the history of the internet

their should be a rule here that nobody is allowed to compare this current Cowboy team to the 90s Cowboys. nothing is similiar and it's disrespectful to the 90s Cowboy dynasty

So, you agree that you did not correctly phrase your statement of, "When you win by one point over an awful team at home, you have A LOT to work on."

No comparison was made. He misspoke. That's all.
