Just fire Eberflus

If we don’t have the performance against the eagles- tonight’s game doesn’t matter…..that makes no sense
What are you talking about? Are you deflecting? I just said the defense played poorly in the cowboys most recent game and your still talking about a game from three weeks ago ago .overall , Eberflus has done a poor job as the cowboys dc this season . It doesn’t matter that the defense played poorly well for a few weeks

So, when the defense shows up it doesn’t count by your metrics. You seem objective lol.

And yes I can bash a coaches in game decisions and praise in game decisions and be able to separate my emotion from the bigger picture.
You overstate how often they have shown up. You cite Philly but do you realize how below average the Philly offense is this year? So while it was nice they got a bunch of stops in the 2nd half, the context here is that the Eagles offense has really been scuffling especially late.

Also it is worth noting that that the eagles were without lane Johnson and I believe another olineman when they played the cowboys. I believe the chiefs were also missing a few starting lineman when they played the cowboys . So , did the cowboys defense really play that well or did they just play offenses who were missing key starters ? Again , imo , the cowboys defense hasn’t performed well enough to justify bringing Eberflus back as dc

Lol.... It came back to haunt us. Now what's the excuse? Oh ok, we need more players.

He just plays it safe. He blitzed in the start of the game when it is safe and then goes conservative at end of game. We look like we play prevent defense on 3rd and longs. We need to move on but probably won't.
The front four weren't getting there. What does he do? Nothing. I was yelling load the box they are going to run. Gibbs picks up 5-6 for 1st down. Sigh...

Where were you the last 3 weeks? Has there been no improvement?
I don’t think he can gameplan. I bet Rex Ryan would do better with this D roster. Someone who can make adjustments and gamelan from week to week depending on the team…..not sit back and allow slants all night and cook the zone.

Ahh so those wins don’t count. This is what you guys do- you cherry pick and create a narrative

Three games is a horrendously short and idiotic way to determine if he's good and deserves to be back.

Because despite having better talent, in the most important game of the year, with the pressure squarely on us given the playoff scenarios that came to the forefront this week, he calls a horrendous game and his defense gets shredded.

He's a mediocre coach and it's bizarre we have people defending him. Really bizarre.
Its unreal. Second worst in the league. Giving up nearly 30 points a game. Making Jacoby Brisset and Russel Wilson look like Peyton Manning. Gets gashed on the ground. Big plays galore. Plays the wrong people, wrong scheme, makes the wrong calls. Won't blitz, won't adjust, seems disgusted by the idea of playing to his player's strengths. Has turned good players into garbage. A unit that has no cohesion. No hustle, no effort, can't even tackle. So not only is he bad at decision making and gameplanning and roster management, he's bad at leading, too.

I'll grant that the roster sucks. But we've had DCs do better with worse players. Quinn had Marquese Bell play a prominent role. Zimmer took us to the playoffs with Willie Blade and Bradie James. And we've also had DCs do better with the same players. Diggs, Bland, Fowler, Osa, even Liufau, have all played better under other DCs.

When you are good at coaching, you do not play like this. Bottom line.

The Joneses tanked this season by bringing this guy in. He deserves no benefit of the doubt. If we don't fire him this year, then that season is lost too.

Regardless it was 8 straight stops in the game, a game we needed to win that we trailed 21-0. Bigger picture, the team has improved post trades and the stats show that.

If there was no improvement at all or signs of trending in a positive direction, then yes, make a change but there has been even with tonight’s huge set back. If they finish the season out with 4 wins you should build off that and make the necessary offseason moves and Eberflus should adjust around the new personal

This game exposed the D. Raiders and Eagles have awful offenses. KC scored 28 but had a ton of bad drops in that game. The defensive hype over the last 3 games was a mirage.

Keep it simple derp, execute derp, dominate derp. Fire Eberflus!

I say FIRE all of them!!! From Schotty on down!!
But is it more the coaching or the players they're coaching? Blame is probably on both sides. I expected a shoot out last night but giving up 44 points I did not expect.

I can't see his passive scheme ever working unless we had the Giants front four+depth from ~15 years ago. Even then, with the coverages, might still be dink and dunked to death

Just sending 4, or a corner blitz here and there along with simple zones isn't a winning combo. It's the Kiffin/Rod era all over again.

You know, with Osa, Williams and Clark, we have the ideal 3 man setup if they went to a 3 down front for certain packages. If Eze can play well standing up we may just need to work on the offball backers and another corner.

3 DT doesn’t work in the modern NFL.
