Just fire Eberflus

3 DT doesn’t work in the modern NFL.
The way I see it, is Clark could be a 0- through 3 tech DT, Williams is the off center tackle, who could be a 3, 4 or 5 tech.
The wildcard is if Osa could excel at a 4/5 tech depending on how the DC wants his DL to lineup at.

Obviously, even in a 4 man front, we now have good depth/rotation at DT for this and possibly next year.

They have been running the 5-2, which isn't really a formation you can run vs the teams that have 3 good weapons on the outside/slot.
To me, more a heavy set reserved for those teams with a run game as their main threat.

Regardless it was 8 straight stops in the game, a game we needed to win that we trailed 21-0. Bigger picture, the team has improved post trades and the stats show that.

If there was no improvement at all or signs of trending in a positive direction, then yes, make a change but there has been even with tonight’s huge set back. If they finish the season out with 4 wins you should build off that and make the necessary offseason moves and Eberflus should adjust around the new personal
But it's one little nugget in a basket of evidence that Eberflus has done a poor job.

You have to look at this in context of who they played, etc. You want to put a lot of emphasis and importance in just 3 recent games but when you add context, such as the Raiders being a terrible offense and the Eagles actually really scuffling on offense, even against bad defenses, it adds color to this discussion. It also softens the whole, "Eberflus needs to stay because he showed improvement in the last three games".

That's the kind of shallow analysis I expect from Jerry Jones.

Ahh so those wins don’t count. This is what you guys do- you cherry pick and create a narrative
The only one cherry picking and creating a narrative is you . The cowboys defense played poorly for ten out of thirteen games yet you want to fixate solely on on those three games and ignore the mountain of contradictory evidence that destroys your argument . My previous posts , including the one you just responded to, further poke holes in your flimsy narrative .
David Montgomery rushed for sixty yards on six carries , often running right through the middle of the cowboys defense. The packers defense held Montgomery to just 32 yards the previous week. You lost the argument dude . Move on with your life . You are simply embarrassing yourself now

Promote Whitecotten to defensive coordinator before another team stills him. He may be more effective as a defensive coordinator than Eberflus is.
Exactly what I would do. I would give Whitecotton an extended interview for the rest of the season and see how he does. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he gets interviews elsewhere the Cowboys don't promote him.

Well you also show the reading comprehension ability of a 4th grader because what it says and I said was that if the team continues to show improvement and we win the next 4 games and the stats show we have improvements now over a large sample which by seasons end would be 8 games - then he should stay.

The eagles are a good football team, you can window dress your opinion however you want, the chiefs are a threat and proven even in a down year and as bad as the raiders are , they are an example of the improvement the team has made in season because earlier in the year we wouldn’t have been able to stop them either.

You’re a whiner and a complainer. You’ll keep complaining and moaning every year no matter what the outcome or what rationale points people make. EMO

Man, you can’t read either? The teams defense has improved over the last 4 games….the stats show that. I’m not worried about the packers or the lions previous game.

As I mentioned, if the teams defense continue to trend upwards as it has over the last 4 weeks (with the exception of last night) and that continues to end the season than Eberflus has deserved a chance to come back for another year.

I’ll do the math for you- but 4&4 is 8 which means if we see the defense trending in the right direction as we close out that year, that’s nearly half a season of sample size of positive trajectory.

The defense we have for the first 7 weeks can’t be used to make a decision for the season in its entirety….thats cherry picking but of course you have the brain of a fruit bat

That was a quintessential Eberflus game. Lots of soft zones, puckered up when he needed to be aggressive and make a play. Bobby Belt tweeted that on Goff's first 6 drop backs we pressured him 4 times with 3 blitzes. On his last 29 drop backs, we blitzed only 5 times, pressured him 4 times.

Eberflus plays a passive, reactive style of defense. Pair that with a defense with clear talent issues at certain positions, specifically LB, and you get what you get out there.

The defense should be gutted this offseason and that should start with the DC.
Jerry has the special skill to always “learn” the lesson at the wrong time

Eberflus is here next year unless we get beaten like a drum the rest of the year

I've been saying this since week 3.

Boring.

Post info about who might be available.

Most good coordinators have jobs.

After this latest stinker by Eberflus , it is high time to send him packing and see what Aaron Whitecotton can do. If Eberflus refuses to blitz with these front 7 players to pressure Goff, let this guy go and let's see what the12-year D-line coaching veteran Whitecotton, has up his sleeve. Goff should have been running for his life back there, instead he is able to stand in the pocket and pick this Cowboys secondary apart.

Lol, a week ago some here said he was “improving”. Like somebody said here: 28 points against the anemic Chiefs offense didn’t look so bad because Dallas outscored them.

All Everchoke needed was a well established offense to make him look like a high school coordinator.

But then again, until Dallas loses you guys start reacting, just like you beloved GM.
