Spot on for what several of us thought. That's all they could get for him?![]()

Can I get a 3rd choice????Same compensation (conditions notwithstanding) as Trey Lance.
Would you rather have Fields or Lance?
He needs a lot of work.Fields just hasn’t shown the ability to be effective throwing the ball. No one doubts his ability to run and he’s fine as a fantasy QB but there has to be more than that to win.
Looking good. How does the Trance trade look now???
Yeah. Except Dak made Jerry cry.Because Dak has played at a high level and is proven. According, Jerry will not get rid of him and pay whatever it takes to keep him. He dies not want to draft a QB high when 75 percent of those drafted in the first round crash and burn.
The joke is you thinking that Mason Rudolph is better than either of them.Tomlin signs two QB’s that are worse than Mason Rudolph. Steelers are almost as big a joke as we are.
Yeah, like a brain transplant so he can read a D.He needs a lot of work.
Leaving Wilson out, that's like saying june bugs taste better than dragonflies. The joke is you thinking that Mason Rudolph is better than either of them.
Not according to ESPN. They made him a cause celeb and it was made compulsory for every talking head to blame the Bears FO and boost up fields. He needs a lot of work.
The sports media seldom let's pesky facts stand on their way......he was a cause for themYeah, like a brain transplant so he can read a D.
Did you know: Fields averaged the worst longest time to throw the ball over the last 3 years.
Yeah, but I made a cool hundred bucks off my buddy who gets his info from BSPN!!!!!!!!!!!Not according to ESPN. They made him a cause celeb and it was made compulsory for every talking head to blame the Bears FO and boost up fields.
Ya know, GMs all across the league heard his lockerroom diatribe where he called out his coaches and blamed them because " the playbook was to hard to understand "
ESPN white'washed that incident as if it never happened .
He's a backup
Can anybody remember when the main topic of ESPN was actually sports?Yeah, but I made a cool hundred bucks off my buddy who gets his info from BSPN!!!!!!!!!!!
And another, and another.2 cheap dart throws at QB are low risk, high reward, potentially. If they are wrong, no big deal, just draft another next year.
Sure but anyone would have picked Wilson and Fields over Pickett and TribiskyI'm not sure about that. Russ hasnt been too good the past few years. Fields is not a proven QB.
They got Fields cheaper than we got Lance.
Justin Fields is a Trey Lance development project, and hopeful insurance as a No.2 backup, if Russell gets hurt, and he'sexactly. It shows us how guys like Dak get paid what they do. Because the alternatives can be very tough. Thats why the QB pay rate sets the market for guys on the lower tier. They are overpaid as a result. The failure rate is really high because its hard to know if a guy will translate his game to the NFL level. Which is why the Steelers just did what they did. They aint convinced this draft has the next good QB worth taking. Neither am I. It shows you how damn lucky we are we found Dak in rd 4. Nobody knew he was this good, or would be. That is why many NFL coaches think its a good idea to spend a late round pick on a QB every other year, to develop them in the pipeline just in case. I know many think Cooper Rush is a bum, but we found him as an UDFA and he has shown he can at least be serviceable in a pinch. Its not easy. We took a low risk getting Lance and I agree on it. You just never know if the light will suddenly come on given an opportunity.
It shows the Steelers are not gonna just stand pat, and settled on a failed former 1st rd pick investment. (Pickett)Sure but anyone would have picked Wilson and Fields over Pickett and Tribisky
Fields can play Steelers just got better, while Cowboys wait for the yard saleTomlin signs two QB’s that are worse than Mason Rudolph. Steelers are almost as big a joke as we are.
If Dak wasn't on the Cowboys he wouldn't finish second in voting..periodJustin Fields is a Trey Lance development project, and hopeful insurance as a No.2 backup, if Russell gets hurt, and he's
a possible future replacement in case a Russell decides to call it quits in the NFL, as well as be a replacement should
Russell's game becomes so horrid in Pittsburgh, imo.
In Dak's case, a Lance is not gonna have quite a " near future, look out replacement " as Dak finished second in the entire NFL in league MVP voting, that may not mean much to disgruntled fans, but that means very much to this organization and
to Dak's peers among other NFL players and teams.
Cooper Rush makes the counter best of what physical limitations he has. He has a small arm, immobile, and little to zero escapability. But in the right scheme, he can get the ball out quickly, read progressions, and make better decision making and get into a rhythm, if he is not forced to have to handle the entire offense on his own (zero run game?)
He's a band aid until we find something better ( Lance?)
For what it is worth, . I'm all on board with keeping Rush as insurance should a Dak or Lance get hurt.
Dak being on the Cowboys, ..is the reason why he did finished 2nd in NFL voting. If Dak wasn't on the Cowboys he wouldn't finish second in voting..period
