I think they just wanted to make a change somewhere, cut someone, and instead of someone like jg or o quinn, they
cut maher.

A move like this can lead to a culture change in the locker room and a Super Bowl run.

lmao! Brother man, you are funny...reverse physiology...you do it so well. You know better than that!

Eh, glad Maher is gone but Forbath doesn't excite me. I'd rather go for a young kicker, some no-name and see if he can audition to be the guy for the future. Forbath is just a stop-gap journeyman, he's not the answer long-term

Absolutely true. Finding a kicker will be an offseason priority.

we as in me ain't defending nothing and I didn't know what to expect and he wasn't much worse than baileys final days if at all when he first came. His cost was factored in I'm sure .Year 1 wasn't so bad but the failure came at camp this year when no one was brought in to give him competition when there were some ? marks.looking back it was poor decision but we are littered with questionable decision over the past 20 years so are you surprised? The fact that this dude with his leg ain't kicking the ball out of the end zone every time is beyond me

You are specifically "defending" it. It was a bad decision, plenty of us here thought it was bad, plenty of us laughed that we thought a CFL kicker could come in and win us games....

If a board full of nobodies can see it was a bad idea, the front office should as well. Bringing up Bailey's freakin' cap while most of you want to give Dak $35 million. You freakin' kidding me?

At this time of the year, there are no young kickers around that the league hasn’t looked at. After the draft, the Cowboys should sign several kickers and punters to evaluate.

So a thread about a kicker and you bring in the qb your butthurt has no boundaries lol

I’m gonna laugh my *** at people like you when he gets signed

Press on take your L and move on. Just because I don’t condemn it don’t mean I defend it. It’s the kicker for Christ sake. Front office has made plenty of mistakes including 2 out of the last 3 this year

Most of this was barely coherent, but I am certainly laughing that you think a kickers cap hit would have just been too much to take on to wait out until he healed

...you know, like the Vikings did. Oh, and Bailey had a few clutch kicks last season despite the misses. Now he's one of the better kickers again in the NFL this year with a league that is full of trash kickers right now.

Again, bad decision that you're making excuses for. Keep being Jerry's bootlicker.
