Kaiir Elam on why things didn't work out in Buffalo

Who has been in the hunt for a SB for some years?
Not us
Homer
They haven’t been in any hunt they can’t beat the Chiefs until they they will never win. They are the Chiefs ***** just like we are 49ers. Do your research then research your research. People strive to be the Chiefs not the Bills.

Mod has nothing to do with it. Why does every positive need to be spun as a negative?
I have my thoughts and opinions, am I not allowed that. As you are?
You misunderstand yourself. If you simply left it at expressing your positive thoughts you wouldn't have the rep you do as one of the thought police types.

You don't though. You always add in some sort of jab towards the "haters". You post more about other fans than you do about the team. Constantly commenting on what "some" or "others" or "they" are going to say before anyone even says it.

For instance. If you had not included "why does everything need to be a negative" in the post that brought this on, you wouldn't have been correctly called the thought police.

Heck, just the fact that you have Ranching, the exalted king of the thought police cosigning you with such vigor should tell you something.

Did not read it, skimmed it, but I already know your disdain for fans telling the truth.
But are you not doing the same thing with this? Yes, you are.

That’s because when the Cowboys decided to re-sign defensive back Israel Mukuamu to a one-year deal, they secured a starting-caliber nickelback. Mukuamu, a sixth-round draft pick back in 2021, has struggled to get on the field -and stay on it- in Dallas. He started out his career at safety and has been asked to play all over the field but for one reason or another, he has failed to crack the starting lineup.

Personally, I attribute that to the fact the Cowboys have had a quality secondary for a few years now. Trevon Diggs, DaRon Bland, and Lewis were never going to be sent to the sidelines by him. The same goes for Stephon Gilmore while he was in Dallas. What was surprising though is the Cowboys didn’t seem to consider him a lot even when they were hit hard by the injury bug.

But those paying attention know Mukuamu was once tossed into the nickel spot when facing Tom Brady and Chris Godwin in the 2022-2023 playoffs. He was solid, forcing two incompletions in eight targets and allowing only a 69.3 passer rating.

If given the chance to start, Mukuamu, who told me early in his career he preferred to play cornerback over safety, has the traits necessary to be solid.

I read it because I'm not lazy and I'd prefer to understand than remain stuck in some pit of ignorance and denial.

The significant difference you seem incapable of understanding is that you consistently show your disdain for others expressing their views in the topic this forum exists for.

I consistently show my disdain for those who are constantly critical of others for reasons that have nothing to do with the topic the forum exists for.

Similarities exist, but not even close to the same.

Getting recognition from CCBoy should be a major red flag to you.

(imagine a grown man not spending the ten seconds to read something before responding. Yet another major red flag)

This is exactly why I rarely read your drivel. You are doing the same thing you accuse me of.
Look in the mirror about ignorance and denial. All you do is attack myself and others.

He's 'In love with the Tradition"?!?! Does he mean losing and embarrasment, 30 years of playoff futility?

He started six games as a rookie and even picked off Mahomes in the playoffs. He got hurt his second season and went on injured reserve. When he came back last year the Bills stuck with the guy that replaced him.

You are right about the athlete part, but the Cowboys are still getting a free look at a former first round pick. If he flames out here all they lose is a late pick. The Bills are the big losers here since they are the team that once took him 23rd overall.
Although my expectations are not high, I do agree that the cost was not. Of course, that also means there is a good chance we didn't "fix" cornerback in free agency. With Diggs out and Lewis gone, we need some sure things, but all we've got is a risk that did not cost us much. He is the type of depth player you acquire hoping it turns out but not counting on it.

That is why I had no problems with the Trey Lance trade. We had our starter in place, so it lowered the risk involved. Now, I'm not happy about what we did with Lance when we got him, but the trade was sound from the risk-reward standpoint.

It didn’t work out because he couldn’t play. Great guy wish him the best but it was a bad move.

Homer! Are you the thought police, or what! Lol
He'll plead lack of English... attempts to growl and leaves marbles in the mouth. When a Dallas player is focused and has an I'll rip your head off if there is movement glare in his eye, and says Jerry has him glassy-eyed, for 30 years. At least the Cowboys aren't known for really cheap aggression...just the fans talking the insults.

Basically, the Cowboys just rounded up as many former bust 1st round picks as they could and think their coaching will turn them back into gold, or least a couple into gold.

Bold strategy, Cotton.

IMO, at best, they may get a few good depth pieces, which is fine but they won't fix any of their actual holes with these guys. Again, the strategy despite the flurry of FA signings, is this ******* organization thinks their playmakers will come from the draft. It's a flawed strategy but it is what it is.
Just go to the refrigerator and grab the Don Padron and then grab a salt shaker...when describing a football player always in that reference, raid the fridge more.

He's a mod...,but he's also a fan. He chooses to be positive, you choose to be negative. We have our share of negative mods and invisible mods. Has nothing to do with their fandom
I enjoy the play, good or bad. Where does that leave me? Happy... :muttley: :flagwave::starspin:

Javonte Williams, RB - "If there's anything I can add in from what I've learned [from Sean Payton], and how I can help the team, in any way possible, [I'll do it]. As far as the running back room, from what they're telling me, we just want a competitive room. Everybody will go in there and compete, and may the best guy win."

Payton Turner, DE - "I'm versatile, so I can do a little bit of everything at a high level. In New Orleans [with Dennis Allen], where I see the difference is that this defense with Coach Eberflus is that we'll do a lot of penetrating and getting vertical, and reacting. … I'm excited to switch it up a little bit, and to get off the ball and stuff the edge vertically to get into the backfield."

Kenneth Murray, LB: "I think I bring physicality. I think I bring speed. I'm a guy that can run the show and get us in and out of stuff — play calls and in and out of downs. I feel like I bring the piece in the middle that keeps everybody connected between the front end and the back end."

Jack Sanborn, LB: "I'm pretty much an open book, easy to talk to, very approachable, I'm willing to do anything to help everyone else learn." "Relatively, we kind of have a decently young room, and so just doing whatever I can with the most knowledge of the defense right now just doing whatever I can to help guys get up to speed and just help each other out because at the end of the day, we're all in this together as one."

Solomon Thomas, DT: "I was like, 'I want to be a Dallas Cowboy. I want to come home. I don't want to have to move any more. This is where I want to play. This is where I want to win.'"

Robert Jones, OL: "We haven't really had those talks, at the end of the day I know I'm done playing tackle. My last time playing tackle was my rookie year, I'm a guard now. I'm only playing guard, once OTAs and everything start we're going to get more in depth about it but no, we really haven't talked about it. I'm just working on being ready to compete at one of the guard spots."

That is what the new players said....now what is being repeated by the never satisfied 'teamsters?'
