I don't see how that could possibly happen. He's already being asked now. If this current trend continues - as I believe it will - he can't justify keeping him even after this year.

IMO its all about salary cap parity ball, where every team is on the razors edge between 7-9 and 9-7. The margin is very, very slim.

He is a learn on the job coaching experiment that has been failing since he got here. Seven years with only two good years and one playoff win to show for it is unacceptable. Most coaches get fired for not producing after 2 or 3 years. But nope, not Garrett.

The experiment needs to end.

We aren't the worst team in the league, that is my point. Sean Lee is back next week and Zeke is back in three weeks.

We don't suck this year and will be a playoff-caliber team when our key guys get back. Last year we were the same type of team but had a softer schedule and caught some breaks to end up 13 - 3 instead of something like 10-6. Even with all the problem we have, the team is still 5-6 and still finishes 8-8 or 9-7. That isn't suckage, its underperforming with a big dose of Goodell/Zeke thrown in.

You are making excuses. Zeke is a Running Back in a passing league. He's not our starting QB. I think this would be the first time in decades where you can pencil in a loss for a team because their RB is out.

And the entire defense shouldn't fall apart because Sean Lee is out. Good grief, he is good but he's not the entire defense.

Injuries and suspensions happen. Things shouldn't have to be perfect for us to win.
