I agree to a point, but those other teams have issues as well...

Les Miles is a horrible play caller at LSU. WVU can beat Jesus State one week then lose to Texas School for the Blind the next week. OU can lose at any time. USC is also inconsistent. Florida is as well...

All in all this is the best season ever in regards to a playoff being needed...

You are right....those teams have issues.

But they are more talented on both sides of the ball. They're light years ahead in the strength and speed department.

I think you may have some sour grapes somewhere. You appeared in an earlier post to hate on both of these teams.

Daniel is creative in the pocket. He is money on third down. He has moxie.

He's a bit bigger than Romo (weight wise), and I think his arm is much stronger.

this is awful football...sorry, but watching two teams that look like rejects from the cfl play is just not entertaining football

they should move all teams that play these ridiculous spread option offenses into a divison of their own...its terrible football

and while I am venting, its way past time for college football to junk this awful overtime system they have

David

Agreed. Not to mention the exhaggerated stats that teams end up with sometimes under that playoff system.

I actually think the XFL had the best playoff system. If the team that got the ball first in OT scored in 4 plays, then the other team should have to score in 4 plays as well. If they score in three plays, they win. JMO

I dont hate either of the teams...I hate the style of play

maybe Daniels gets a shot in the nfl at a camp someplace, I have no idea...I do know that probably 99% of QB's from this style of play never pan out

It's not as if this is a new thing.

Spurrier ran a system like this, OU ran a system like it. Most college teams do run some sort of "system".

Spurriers offense didnt look anything like this

some people may like it...I just hate it...to me its the equivilent of lesser teams in college basketball being able to beat really good teams by
hoisting 3's for the entire game

The overtime thing is really simple, much like the playoff issue...

The NFL and NCAA should both allow both teams a possession. It's really simple. IF the team that receives the ball first scores, they kick-off and the other team has a chance. If the other team matches the score, the next team that scores, wins...

The playoff should consist of the top 16 teams. Division 1-AA has been doing it for years with success. When the college presidents tell us it is too hard for the teams academically, our intelligence is insulted...

It certainly wasn't conventional.

That's apparently what you're complaining about. I'm just pointing out that most college teams don't run a conventional offense.

If you don't like it, that's your perrogative I guess. I'm not a huge fan of it, but not all college teams can recuit like USC or Texas.

I disagree about this being the equivalent of a college team hoisting threes all day.

The three point shot in college basketball has always been too easy.

I've always agreed with this type of overtime system.

Both teams should have a shot.

The only arguement I've heard was from Phil Simms. He said, "If you have that type of system and a team scores a TD, then the other team would know they have to go for a TD....." He insinuated that would be unfair as well.

I disagree. To me that scenario is no different than the end of a game. A team that's driving knows if they need a FG or a TD.

Mizzou is just damn good...

Their only loss was to boomer and they had a ton of turnovers late in that game...

That's like a skins fan crying that they would have won if T-New didn't get the int.

Seriously TB, as a mod of this board, I expect better from you.

Yeah, but that takes special teams out of the equation. Teams with a Dante Hall, Devin Hester or Leon Washington would be screwed.

I have to admit Chase Daniel is going to be a very good player in the NFL. He reminds me of Drew Brees but tougher, and more intangibles.

Geez... can't a team have a bad game?

You should qualify yourself as a boomer fan... I expect better from you... ;)
