After seeing Jerry very briefly as he addressed the media the other day, it was sadly obvious- he has become a pathetic old echo chamber. He only listens to those who tell him what he wants to hear. He only speaks to those who won’t call him out. That circle is shrinking.

Fewer fans are buying the kool aid. Fewer still think he has any credibility left. He’s become a shallow character- a carnival barker who’s getting old; the old tricks don’t work any more- and even he knows it. His past multitude of skeletons once hidden in payoffs and non-disclosure agreements are being discovered- even those he thought his money could silence. Welcome to the digital age Jerry.

Karma is knocking on his door. And Karma cannot be paid off and doesn’t sign NDAs. Everywhere he turns these days, mirrors are popping up. The clock is ticking louder and louder. His once vibrant energy has faded. He looks old and his charade of trying to prove he is a football guru is now only accepted within the family circle and the fewer and fewer fans who love him anyway.

The day Jerry heard Jimmy was elected to the HOF may have been the worse day in his life. In his mind, his HOF election now probably takes a backseat to Jimmy’s. Because Jerry is in the hall as a “contributor”. Jimmy is in as head coach. It’s obvious who the “football man” is.

Yep. Better answer the door Jerry. Karma is on the front porch and she can’t be bought or silenced. Karma is undefeated. The clock nears midnight. Maybe it’s time to change your ways.

lol...ain't no clock and ain't no Karma. The only knock coming on JJ's door is Dak...pay me some money. Snake eyes...

I’m not miserable at all. I’m having as much fun as always. Although it’s always more fun when the Cowboys win. This is a fan opinion forum. Just a place for fans to express opinions. My thoughts here were just that Jerry seems to have had some Karma coming at him. That’s not “hate”.

I think Jerry is probably a way better person than he is GM. And as a Cowboys fan, I think Jerry is the biggest obstacle to us winning. That’s not hate. It’s an opinion.
Wishing bad karma is never good.

However - you've been harping on the "illegitimate daughter" situation since the woman has come forward - and have inferred this flawed part of his personal life is part and parcel to the ineptitude of Jones running the football operations of the franchise -- which you have long chronicled and detailed before this paternity matter surfaced.
If Jerry acknowledged Alexandra, then brought her into the fold equal to his other children- that still doesn't change the state of the Cowboys and how they operate - which has been just a step above been good...but still falling short of reaching a deep playoff run that has been long elusive.
Just don't feel a need or urge to dwell on that matter - or make gleeful posts about it that a number of CZers have done. I'll just stick to What the Cowboys FO continues to do this offseason to improve- or not improve- the roster for 2022 .

Gleeful? Harping on his illegitimate daughter? She’s not even mentioned in my OP. I don’t think I’ve mentioned her by name ever. I was merely intending to point out that much of Jerry’s past- on and off the field- has come back to bite him by his own doing. It’s an observation. Nothing gleeful about it. What would make me truly gleeful is seeing the Cowboys winning playoff games again.

I refer back to one of the last lines of your post : 'Karma is on the front porch and can't be bought or silenced.' In light of recent events - it is a statement that points more to that real-life event than being a metaphorical reference to the current state of the franchise and how the owner has brought it to this point.
Anyway - don't want to get into a back & forth runniing commentary that too often appears on most threads. And have also had my fill of Cooper, Gregory and Prescott posts.
Four weeks until the draft night - might just check out of CZ until then (save pertinent Cowboys news comes up).

I understand. But it’s not being “off the bandwagon” to just point out the biggest obstacle to winning.
1. Oline
2. OC improvement
3. Move away from zeke in the run game
4. Defense taking the next step

Jerry's the guy you see sitting alone in the casino pulling the lever on the slot machine at 2AM on a Wednesday because he hit the jackpot the first day he played 30 years ago.

He caught lightning in a bottle in 1993 and he still thinks he's Zeus.

That’s a great analogy.
