I'm seeing Dallas winning this one easy over KC but I believe in never underestimate your opponent.

I am surprised so many have overlooked this opponent; they have the weapons on D to put Romo on his back, out of the game with a rib injury and our offense depending on Kyle Orton.

Their defense shut out their last opponent, sacked the QB 6 times and intercepted him twice, with OLB Hali returning one for a TD.

And it's being played in their house.

“Last year is just so far behind us,” Flowers said. “New regime, just new spirit.”

Their front 7 has an outstanding nose tackle, Poe (11th pick in 2012 draft) who will give Frederick all sorts of problems. In the last game he had five solo tackles, 1.5 sacks and a tipped pass.

Houston at OLB has 18.5 sacks in 33 games.

It's crazy to overlook these guys. We are the underdogs, and even Vegas says so.

Just like Seattle last year all over again. This is why we can't be great. We think we already are and then we end up getting pasted. It's foolish to think this way but hey, think what you want.
Yeah.... the reason our team isn't great is because the fans have unrealistic expectations. That's what's been holding this team back for years.

We are impacting the win column.

lol.

And for the record, I think the Chiefs are a tough team and wouldn't be surprised to see them win.

Well, that is certainly part of the reason, as evidenced by your post here.

Fact remains, the Cowboys have had recent history of laying down in games that they should win. You describe it how you want but in the end, it all means the same thing. You have an L when you should be looking at a W.

lol the Pro Bowl. If they had so many great players why did they go 2-14?

The Niners were the 7th worst team in the NFL under Singletary, then went to the NFC Championship the very next year under Harbaugh. Turn arounds can happen. Not saying it will be like this for the Chiefs.

if we win the turnover battle, we win, probably--if not, we might still win but there is a chance that we won't--all in all, after one game, we have shown that we could possibly win this one

They weren't a good team last year, but still had talent. After adding one of the great head coaches in the modern era and a competent quarterback, I expect significant improvement. This has the potential to be Seattle all over again.

This won't be anything like Seattle. Sure they have a new coach and a new QB that is an average QB who doesn't turn over the ball much but the fact remains their team is no better than ours. In fact, I think we are better than them. Last year Seattle was WAY better than us and they didn't lose not one game in their stadium. You think KC has a rowdy crowd? They have NOTHING on Seattle.

Just because they beat up on the worst team in the NFL who has a QB that shouldn't be in the NFL, doesn't mean they are going to do that with us. Sure, it is one of those trap style games but the Cowboys are taking the Chiefs seriously, and so is everyone else out there. I personally don't see this as an even game, I give the Cowboys the advantage as long as they take KC seriously. Don't forget.. KC was 2-14 last year... sure they will be better this year but come on.. can you even name their #2 or #3 WR?

Yes, but that team wasn't in the top 3 worst teams in the NFL. Plus they were much more talented than KC is. They just needed a legit coach. KC has *some* talent but nothing like SF had.

Have any of you actually been to a Chiefs game when they are good? Have any of you actually seen how loud that stadium is?

They will be tough and it won't be easy but their corners, while good, aren't the best you'll ever see and if they do what the Giants did and committ two and three guys to Dez then Witten and Miles are going to eat them up.

Provided, of course, that the O-line can give Romo time. If they play at least as well as they did against the Giants for the large majority of the game then I think Dallas can get a W here.

KC kinda has the perfect formula to beat Dallas.

They have a really nice defense that can cause some havoc, they have a QB who will be patient, and an awesome home crowd.

They can beat us and i'm kinda expecting it.

I would agree with this but if that happens, then that would mean that the Cowboys did not overlook the Chiefs and will have prepared for them. That is the question. The entire thread, IMO, is about that. Don't pull another Seattle basically. We are better then that I hope.

I would say they can beat us but I'm sure not expecting them to beat us. This reminds me of Arizona in 2011. We were the better team but they made it their super bowl and we played bad. KC is a little better than that Arizona team was but we are better than KC.

Their defense didn't cause much havoc last year did it? Just because their defense manhandled Jacksonville doesn't mean they will man handle ours. We would have murdered Jacksonville too. KC has a few things going for them.. their home crowd is loud, they have a new head coach and QB, they have a solid defensive line, and they are confident because they just beat Jacksonville. With those things said, we are better than them. I will bet anyone here straight up with no points that Dallas wins that game.

It has been a very long time since the crowd was overwhelming. Even when they were good under Vermeil they weren't the same as they were when they gained their reputation. They are nothing like they were when Marty was around. And their numbers will be far fewer than they typically have because nearly half the stadium will be wearing blue.

I don't think our team is on a high like they were after we beat NYG the first game of the season last year and then when to Seattle some what cocky and got slaughtered. This is a more unified team, we all saw it out there last Sunday night. They are more confident, gang tackling, stripping the ball, looking for turnovers, and just more aggressive all around. Alex Smith is no Eli Manning. Manning got super hot in that game and was getting rid of the ball super fast. Also, who is the other WR opposite of Bowe? I see their offense struggling against our defense. I also see them getting a full dose of Murray. The better team will prevail and it will be us.

Oh I would not count on that. KC is up for this game and they are scalping tickets at 300 and 400 bucks. I know this because my buddy here tried to get ticks to that game. He is a KC fan from Missouri. He tried to get his brother to get him tickets and he ended up not going for it because of the cost.

I think Arrowhead is going to be rocking for this game. We have three former Chiefs on our roster as well. It's going to be interesting but we will see what happens.

Bingo.. we have a ton of fans that show up to the KC games and they are the type of fans who get real rowdy. Anyone remember the Miles breakout game? It's time for a reunion.

That's because the Cowboys fans (like myself) and ticket brokers already bought all the tickets when they went on sale. The Cowboys are driving the ticket prices, not the Chiefs. You can easily get tickets (at face value, not stub hub or anything) for the remainder of their games, and you can still get tickets to the Cowboys game if you get club level seats. The fan base has not bought into them yet.
