I have always considered Ron Marinelli as a good defensive line innovator, but using Eric Berry as a defensive tackle or end? I just don't see that happening... Wait. Oh. People want to ignore a crucial defensive upgrade for just an upgrade in the secondary. Well, I can see that. Berry would really solidify the secondary, but the move doesn't really address our overall defensive weaknesses as much as controlling the trenches and putting consistent, four quarters a game, pressure on the quarterback does. It's a good thought though. Back to work. Uh oh. Did I type all that? Crap! Delete! Delete! Delete!

What is this, a post for ants?

I'd give them a 2nd, but giving up a 2nd and 3rd is rich not because Berry isn't worth it, but because we have a lot of holes to fill on the DL.

Pipe, but would anyone be mad if Jerry traded for Berry? We have several holes to fill, but for (potentially) a 2nd and 3rd round pick? He's a 3-time pro bowler and only 25. Do it Jerry!

3rd is a steal. Immediately improves the secondary 5x over

There is no doubt that Berry is better than any safety that has been on this roster in several years. It wouldn't take much of a player to upgrade the position. It comes down to his value. A second rd pick would be reasonable , but his salary demands may make the trade unreasonable. The recent history of second round picks has not produced much other than Lee, and his injuries are a major problem with him.

The idea that the Cowboys "can't draft" is such an old adage that's based on one poor draft in a decade.

It is based on many years of total failure at the drafting process. There has been a year or two that the drafts were decent, but that is it. The trend hasn't improved under the red genius to the extent that many believe.

Preach on about the greatness of the great trade up for Mo. That draft produced an overpriced bust that cost the first two picks and a couple of role players. When was the last time this team hit on a later round pick that became a starter. A quality draft produces later round picks that to more than just play s couple if snaps a game. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. This squirrel hasn't been able to do that. The RKG process has not produced stellar results.

This needs to be "@least 3 times bigger! ;)" But yeah, understanding humor round here is a farce. (Has it been tested;)) I watched it after the fact...no you didn't. Denim gets it (too much;)) but yeah:rolleyes: I don't think they can get it unless part of our cult...
