He didn't tweet anything. He didn't post anything on social media.

He was asked a question and that was his response...which I'm not sure what he was supposed to say that would've satisfied anyone on here.

Yeah players are required to talk to the media, but the players are not required to show off their egos to the public and most teams understand how to handle these situations. Did Belichick talk up his own team when asked about the Cowboys? Nope he went on to sign their praises, meanwhile the Cowboys continue to talk up themselves. I would love it these guys had total confidence inside the locker room and spoke that way, but to the media you give the borning answers...."NE has a great duo of backs and we have to step up our game in order to stop them" is along the lines of what needs to be said.

Most hate it when players give boring answers. I've seen it too much here after a L.

For everyone griping about "cockiness" of the quote, folks would be equally mad at a non-answer or praising the other team.

Anything short of "I suck" just doesn't cut it.

I understand all that..I mean duh...I am saying they won last week...and aren't telling the media what they will do to us. Meanwhile we might be the only team that gets our arse handed 2 us, that then doubles down on stupid and talks even more. BTW, I get it....all teams talk 2 some degree, but this team just doubles down on foolishness. McCarthy better reign it in. New England will take us to the brink Sunday. I think we win it but wont be easy.

After reading the full quote, Jayron didn't say anything outrageous. He believes the defense is more like what we saw in the first two games than the last game against the Cards. He has a right to feel that way.

I don't know whether the Cowboys will win or not. I'm a game-by-game person. I'm always hopeful til they show me different. I don't care if it's by 1 pt or 20, W is a W.

I'd say a much more fair assessment of what is happening is the answer to a question he was asked during a mandatory available to media time has been provided. No one is "quoting" him.

And there isn't a single thing wrong with what he said.

I would have no issues with players talking more like coaches. Yeah people get bent out of shape every time Dak gives a non answer, but arrogance proceeds the fall. Be humble in front of the media and be a monster on the field.
