No one is discrediting his play. This is just insecurity on the part of some of you.

It's very simple. He's playing great. It also helps that he has an elite OL and some of the best group of weapons in the NFL.

Dak is a better QB than the crazy overrated Wentz. He probably wouldn't be #2 in QBR, but he would be doing more in Philthy because he's better than your boy Wentz.

You have to remember that almost everyone in sports media has their named tied to comments made after the draft where they stated how Dak was either a bad choice by the Cowboys or a "project" or "developmental" quarterback and the Cowboys should have traded up to get a quarterback capable of contributing "right now".

Because their words, comments, etc. are archived on the internet, they have to find a way to downplay what he is doing now or else their previous comments could be brought up which would hurt their perception of being "smarter" than everyone else.

They will continue to do this until he has a really bad game and then they will say, "See! I told you so!" or if Dak were to do something like win a Super Bowl this year, they would then say, "It was a 'miracle' season that 'no one could have predicted!'" to cover themselves.

The Eagles game is obvious and he wasn't sharp week 1 against the Giants (i'll acknowledge first game jitters but again not a great piece of footage for the rook). The final stat line in GB looks good but he was far from sharp.

Many of us repeatedly pointed out that we were in a vast majority of games last year. Competent QB play...even average QB play and we win many more games than 4 last year. Pretending the talent level was that of a 4 win team is not arguing in good faith. Especially when you then got to add top of each round talent to the mix and get some guys back healthy.

Actually you did. I live up here. They've been ripping their OL and WRs since Game One. They just thought Wentz was good enough to overcome those deficiencies.

He has been dropped into and part of a great situation and he has made the most of it. the QB's from last year would have failed this year as well. He has made plays on 3rd down and elsewhere. He has made great decisions and he inspired the confidence of the team in preseason. You could ask for very little more from him.

How much Zeke and the Oline have to do with his success is impossible to tell and it really does not matter because if he begins to falter a bit in the hard stretch of games coming up I know we have someone who can step in and do the job.

People have said that Aikman was a bus driver at times and I think that just comes from having a great team around you which you can't control at all.
