Keeping Mike McCarthy at this point is cruel

I can’t believe I’m actually saying this but I feel sorry for Mike McCarthy. This is the most putrid team we’ve seen since the Campo years and those teams overachieved winning 5 games.

I’m not defending McCarthy’s coaching. It hasn’t been good to say the least. But let’s be honest - Big Mac was actually handed a one legged roster with one arm tied behind his back by this 82 year old arrogant fool in charge of this mess. This team is awful.

Honestly, 31 other owners would have fired McCarthy after that packers loss last January. That’s what should have happened. Now Jerry lets McCarthy twist in the wind weekly with this historically bad roster. If Jerry Jones had one ounce of mercy in his soul, he would release McCarthy tomorrow.

It’s the humane thing to do.
or he could just quit.

any coach ever just say "F" it and quit?

Kellen Moore for HC.

our offensive problems would soon be fixed.

I get that introspective Bobhaze, but on the other hand getting paid a lot for head coaching every game makes for a hell of a green poultice.

Yes. Any decent gm / owner fires him tomorrow
Any decent GM would never have given him this roster.

When its all said and done, Jerry will have wasted alot of players and coaches careers in the last quarter century

He could easily resign. Could have once also when his contract wasn't renewed after last season. MM is kind of the beta male type, I think. Only 7 more weeks of the current crew of clowns.
Until next years crop of clowns…
As long as Jerrah calls the shots this team will be pathetic

Now mine you I had taken an edible. But after that failed punt I was looking at Mike and the coaches and he looked unhealthy and this was adding stress and I felt sad

I think iou gotta start lance, run a Safe offense so he doesn’t throw ten picks and ruin his confidence, and you let Al Harris coach the team ,

players coach

ever think he told mike he could get a bonus for a good tank job this season ??
I noticed mike was all smiles and laughing at a PC 2 weeks ago, if this bothered him I dont think he would act all happy like that.

This junky offense under Mikes direction with all the starters is pure junk. Mike and Mike alone deserves blame for the scheme and mostly ignorant play calling. yes rush and the young skill players make mistakes, but that's to be expected from guys who barely play/practice together. What was not expected was how bad the Dak to CD connection was to start the year, like they had different playbooks. And all the stupid curl routes that limit yards after the catch having dak throw short of the 1st down marker made this offense like quicksand.

We cant fix the Jerry problem but the McCarthy problem might organically fix itself come Sunday lol. I don't see how he survives after what's coming in Washington. I think the pressure cooker lid is about to blow. He might resign .

I'll be curious to see how the GMs of other teams react, once Jerry fails to re-sign Mike McCarthy. Will another team decide to ignore what this FO has decided to do with him and hire him as the choice for their upcoming HC position? I think that might be interesting to note in 2025 and beyond.

Panthers are a team to watch. So is the Jets.

He gives up millions of dollars by quitting.
which is why i asked if any coach ever did that?

if not, then fine. give me crap for 6 months and a million dollar check on my way out.
