Kellen Moore, C'mon down!

I like Moore, very smart guy who was cursed by having a smaller frame. Good luck to Moore.

I’m not sure out of this bunch of QB’s if we have a legit starting NFL proto type QB?

It could turn out to be one of our greatest positions of weakness.
White is close he has a cannon for an arm and has nice touch knows when to tone it down He will replace Rush as the backup by end of training camp

I wouldn't count on it. Rush has the feel and the instincts to give White all he can handle and then some. It'll be interesting, at any rate.

The word on Moore coming out of Boise St. was that he, probably, had the best QB mind and understanding of offense of any QB coming out and some were really impressed with his knowledge, even as a rookie.

Now he gets his chance with Prescott, Rush and White and I don't know if there's a team with less NFL experience at the QB position than the Cowboys. He's got what some feel is a reclamation project with QB1 after only two seasons but this season Prescott must move the ball down the field or we could see either Rush or White or both.

But this is where a young first time coach, pre-anointed, makes his name for himself and catches everyone's attention because what GM or HC isn't going to be paying attention to the Dallas Cowboys and their QB?

The other dynamic here is that Linehan could serve as a sacrifice and his young apprentice might just slide into his spot. No coordinator has his butt sitting on the burner as much as Scott Linehan. The man is blessed with a top 5 OL and top 3 RB and there will be no excuses this season, produce or be gone because that young coach that he likes so much is just waiting to take his job. Because if he stumbles and the light shines on Moore, the Cowboys might have little choice but to promote him or lose him. The highest priority in the NFL is QB development and Moore will have a lot of light shining on him.

Kellen Moore and the development of 3, 2 and 1 year QB's is one of my must watch with keen interest developments this season. Not as keen in checking out the Cheerleaders and seeing who might have put on a few ounces, yes, I peruse it that closely. Not down to grams just yet but if these new contacts are eagle eye good, that's next.
NO ONE thinks Dak is a reclamation project. I stopped reading anything after that BS nonsense.

Intriguing White is Moore's boy.
White actually has history with Moore. White contacted Moore for advice when White became QB under the same coaches Moore had.

I don't like the whole protege feel to this, especially coming from Moore the protege of Linehan. Makes me question whether we're getting the best player available, or just the most loyal player.

I don’t think anybody has an issue with bringing in the next Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers.

Let me know as soon as one becomes available.

Also, let me know the last time either one of them won anything without a good defense also.

Brady almost won it this year with a bad defense. But couldn’t quite get there. Every other championship he had a good defense helping him out.
There was potentially 4 available Thursday nite.

And I’ve often said we need either an elite defense or QB to truly contend for a championship.

And if it turns out we have an elite defense to do it and Dak is the Bus Driver type then a host of QB could have driven it.

I like Dak. He’s a great kid. Manages the game pretty well. Just not a prolific passer. But unless we have a great team around him he’s not carrying us all the way. I believe with a lesser front office and coaching staff we need a more elite QB than Dak or Romo.

Or the next Belichick
The next Belichick or next great coach isn’t an option with Jerry and why I’d prefer swinging for the fences until we land the next great QB.

So what if we gave up next years #1 to move up this year and get one of these QB’s this year.

That’s what you have to do unless you want to wait until we hit rock bottom.

Sounds a bit like Garrett himself.

But I LOVE making Moore a coach. I hope it works and we make it something we do often. Why can't we make Witten our TE coach? Jerry can outbid ESPN. I would love that sort of coaching environment where players retire and become coaches to the next generation of Cowboys and in turn the next generation of coaches.
Deon Sanders as CB coach?

We criticized the Eagles moving up last year to take Wentz. How did that work out?

He will probably be Jerry's next HC project once he realizes the Garrett well is a dry hole. He would be hard pressed to be as bad as Garrett.

I was so hopeful Garrett would be able to draft a top prospect when Romo retired but we’ve short changed our franchise again at QB with the first shiney object that appeared.

Imagine what a Wentz or Goff could have done behind this OL and one of the top running offenses.

Why stop reading Coaches' post? HE'S not claiming Dak is a reclamation project, he's referring to those that DO. By the way, CC's more prone to type absurd nonsense rather than BS nonsense! There's a difference! Myself? I lean more toward annoying nonsense, like now!

JG said Moore visited a number of QBs leading up to the draft and really connected with White. I think he's actually suited for coaching. He's personable, seems to understand the game, just didn't have the physical tools to play at the highest level. We'll see.
Maybe Moore will be our new HC down the road as well. Picture it, 1st season Moore takes the 'Boys to six wins, 2nd season he not only takes them to the SB, but wins it as well. Sound familiar? It should, Pederson ring a bell?!

I’ve always been curious about the sometimes intense dislike of Wilson. Do fans even know what The day to day duties of the QB coach is, and outside of Rom o and Dak, what talent did he have to work with? This post makes me wonder what evidence we have that Wilson couldn’t relate to today’s young QB.
I'm with you on the curiosity. Seems the WR coach impacts the routes & now so does the QB coach? I never got to play with either. Heck we didn't have any assistant coaches, just some college guys who liked to show up at practices. They never came out to any of our games, though.

Which coach said Dak is a reclamation project?
