Maybe he did (design an offense for Dak). Maybe the design was limited by Dak's (lack of) tools? We'll find out next season.

I predict KM will thrive, and Dallas's offense takes a step back.
I hope I'm wrong, but put your $$ down that we miss playoffs if you want a little extra cash. We will two steps back if Jerry doesnt sign top free agent or two, and you know how that goes. You are spot on about being limited, so get ready!

For those interested in good reading and an education on Dak and what Moore failed todo, give it a read. Since play action and 3rd and long were two big issues for the offense its not hard to also surmise that the run game failures were also a problem as was the Oline blocking. Both in the run and the pass.

But if you prefer hard evidence, the statistics suggest that Prescott is best at play-action and deep shots. He’s been in the top five of all quarterbacks in passer rating on play-action attempts for all but one of his years in the NFL. Prescott has also ranked in the top 10 of quarterbacks in passer rating on throws that travel 20 yards or more in every year of his career thus far.

Similarly, Prescott attempted a pass over 20 yards downfield on just 10.8% of his passes. That ranks astonishingly low in the league, 23rd among qualifying quarterbacks. That’s fewer deep shots than Jacoby Brissett, Geno Smith, and rookies Kenny Pickett and Brock Purdy. Not only did the Cowboys limit their deep shot passing game, they were living for the short game, targeting hitch routes at the fourth highest rate of any offense in 2022.

Much of the blame has been laid at the feet of Prescott, and unfairly so. Prescott has proven time and again that he’s an extremely gifted quarterback, but the Cowboys - and, more specifically, Moore - failed him this season.
Jesus Christ, wake up and smell the stench of Dakota "WENTZ 2.0" Prescot!

Unless KM buzzed into Dakota's headset as to when he should throw the forward pass, how can you entirely blame him? What you are suggesting is that Burrow, Patty and a host of others have only been successful because of the OC? Your denial of Dak being Dak is comical, and you are stretching to find any excuse possible. Nobody here argues KM has not helped Dak, but to say he has failed is just silly and wrong.

You are also assuming that his lack of deep shots was due to KM not calling them? Dak has had a serious deficiency in being able to see his 2nd and 3rd reads downfield...surely this has nothing to do with his lack of attempts?

1 year of Dabol seemingly has turned Daniel Jones into Payton Manning in New York. if MM and Schotty can turn Dak into what you think his value truly is, then we will have confirmation KM was entirely to blame.....in the end Dak needs a perfect environment in front of him to be successful
Daniel Jones was improved butstill below average overall

His line was better and he got Barkley back
That alone would account for much of his upgrade

I think there’s plenty of blame to go around for both Kellen and Dak. However, it’s easier to move on from the coach than it is the player at this point. Kellen had some talent, but there were definitely some holes in his play calling. The onus is on Dak and McCarthy to prove Kellen was holding them back.

We don't really know how below or above average he really is until we see the makeup of the team next year (assuming Jones and Barkley are even back). Every QB is the product of the players around him. Not only was his line better he has an actual coach, and the dude cut down on the turnovers. Hence, now we wait to see about Dak, but is anybody going nutty and expecting great things in his future next year?

No, Dak failed Kellen. He couldn't do the things Kellen wanted to do (like have more than one trick in the hat). Teams can shut down Dak because his playset is narrow. Kellen was a bad fit for Dak, because Dak sucks!
This is why Ben Johnson is returning to Detroit, he gets to work with Jared Goff. Meanwhile Kellen is happy to leave Dak. Happy for Kellen, but Dak going to get expose so hard when Herbert lights up the scoreboard.

Wait'll KM hits 'em with a couple of those Boise State trick plays that don't work.

I'm moving to the dark side. Dak from now on is my idol. And, get this! I am not going to buy just one Bobble Head of Dak, but I'm going to buy three of them. Also, I'm going to get a brand new Dak jersey and have it framed and hung in my house so the first thing my visitors see is that jersey, it will mean so much to me. I think my dog will like it too!
Make sure to hang Jersey low on wall so dog can get a leg cocked up on it when it’s potty time.

Next February Headlines: Kellen Moore let go after the Chargers fail to make the playoffs due to their inconsistent offense. He plans to join the Salmon River High School football team as their assistant QB coach.

For a thread with so many posts and so few likes to the thread starter lol that shows you how far from the truth it really is. A poll would be nice, wondering what the results would be.

So you are saying that what you see in the below video is KM's fault? This was the worst pick 6 I have ever seen, and you are trying to blame the OC for it.

LOL, whatever, dude.
