Kellen Moore wanted out of Dallas

If we let Moore go but are keeping the same offense, I don't see how we improve the offense. We need a fresh set of eyes and a new system. To let go of the coordinator and then have MM call plays from an offense that he reportedly didn't know, seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Dak isn't going anywhere, but we are gonna have MM call the same offense Moore ran and expect better results?

I hope this report is false but nothing would surprise me with these clowns running the show.

Can’t say I blame him. I’m starting to think a lot of people inside the Star are souring on QB1
I get that feeling too. Everybody but...........................Jerry (of course this is my speculation, but it seems likely). Even their own in-house media was going after Dak after the SF loss. lol

Next couple of seasons should prove pretty interesting.

You Dak haters need to go to my link and watch the 2 videos posted. Those ex-professional players are saying much differently than what is being professed here. They explain exactly what was wrong in Dallas and why Kellen Moore is no longer here.

AC trying to get his post that nobody is caring about some attention.

I'm pretty sure piggy backing off a thread getting some attention to try and pump your your useless thread isn't allowed here.

I thought that was obvious with the way things played out with the Chargers.

Moore wants to be a HC and he knew Dak was ruining those chances for him.

I said weeks ago that if Moore was smart he would make a lateral move and that's just what he did.

Good for him.

He has had multiple interviews for head coaching opportunities the last 2 years. Lol. The word was he wasn’t a great interview then. Not everything is about dak. The cowboys wanted to move on. Moore still has head coaching career aspirations and the chargers are a good job.

There were plenty of expiring contracts, but what is clear is, if Jerry fired Moore, he would still owe him money for his final year. The fact that the Chargers requested an interview a week prior to even announcing his hire, while Moore has connections to Herbert and LVE through some commercials in Idaho seems to support this position. This request by the Chargers also PRECEDED Dallas announcing it won't renew any expiring contracts, including Joe Philbin. Coupled with the fact, as @NotForLong pointed out, Jerry owns the rights to box seats for the Chargers, it all points to a move on Kellen Moore' part.

It is also being reported that MM is not changing the offense, but will call plays. Since Prescott is too expensive to move this next year, maybe Jerry doesn't really have high expectations this season.
You know things are bad when Jerry has no hope going into next season.

He'll be a HC within 2 years now.

He would've sunk with Dak if he stayed here.

He’s been on track to be a head coach here too - what a leap of faith your making. Lol. There’s also a chance the chargers miss the playoffs or take a step back and Staley is let go and kellen loses the job there.

I didn't think McCarthy would change the offense. Too much work to get everyone on the same page with a new scheme, concepts and language. The offense at its core is productive. Add some new wrinkles to the concepts of the scheme, create better balance and situational nuances with the play calling to help make the offense more consistent.

Moore wants to be a HC and Dak doesn't work well enough in his offense to make that happen.
I think so many people read WCO, Air Coryell, Erhardt-Perkins, etc...and think they are a set of offensive PLAYS. The plays in all of them are similiar - a corner route is a corner route no matter the offensive scheme. The difference is in the offensive concepts and how they relate to the strengths/weaknesses of the personnel. As good as Kellen was, I think this is where he fell short.

Where is it said anywhere with confirmation and not conjecture that mm isn’t changing the offense next year ? I’d love to see that. Reality is he probably takes a lot of what worked, sprinkles in things he likes and then adds as well

There were things about Moore that bothered me. He was NOT an unbelievably good play caller. Now was that because he was limited with personnel? Maybe but how often did he run come-back curls? 1st down pass that was incomplete, 99.99999% of the time the next play was a run. No screen game, dumb ** trick plays. He wasn't without hist worts. With that said, good for him to want a change of scenery. Hope it works out for him.

Sure hope the part about keeping the same offense is not confirmed and is false.
When Dak returned to the lineup we had the highest scoring offense in the NFL. We led the league in scoring last season. This has been a very productive offense over the years. I don’t believe the offense has been the problem it’s been the playcalling and not having enough playmakers at receiver.
