I'm glad he is gone but not putting it all on him. Dak didn't do him any favors with his inconsistency and poor decisions but Moore's offense seemed ridiculously simple way to often. I counted 7 or 8 times in the last couple of games where all 4 WRs simply ran 10 yards downfield and turned around. The DB had eyes on them and Dak and made simple moves to breakup the throw or intercept it. Just dumb to even think thats a good play much less continue calling it against playoff caliber teams.

They should keep several aspects of the offense the same if we are being honest. It’s been extremely productive. It can’t be all the same and that’s where Mike adds new wrinkles and his own stuff but really it’s about being smarter with the stuff we run.

If you going by just stats moore shouldn’t be gone

When Dak returned to the lineup we had the highest scoring offense in the NFL. We led the league in scoring last season. This has been a very productive offense over the years. I don’t believe the offense has been the problem it’s been the playcalling and not having enough playmakers at receiver.

It's very productive against mostly bad teams. When good Defenses take away the easy stuff, it tended to get bogged down. Hopefully McCarthy can scheme/play call out of some of that. Either way, probably a lot of things will work out one way or another next season.

Didn't lose a bet. Stop stating fallacies.
You lost the bet, Ken.

You just try and get out of it by whining "injury!".

Mahomes is in the Super Bowl and will be the MVP this year while Dak led the NFL in INTS despite missing 5 games.

I'll offer you again and maybe you won't ignore it this time.

2023 season. You get Dak. I get Mahomes. Loser leaves town. Deal?

"It is also being reported that MM is not changing the offense, but will call plays. Since Prescott is too expensive to move this next year, maybe Jerry doesn't really have high expectations this season."

Where's the link? If no link, this is pure heresay.
Every article has identified MM as the PLAY-CALLER. The D M N stated this emphatically, in the article, which you can google (not sure if the forum will filter this post out if I reference the link):

Mike McCarthy to call plays as Cowboys part ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore

The offense will remain in place.

But for the first time in Prescott’s career with the Cowboys, Moore won’t be there with him. There will be a new voice in the quarterback’s ear.

And it will be McCarthy calling the plays.
This is very similar to when Jerry effectively banished Jason Garrett from the offense and made Linehan the play-caller. He didn't want to change the offense, but said clearly that Linehan allowed them to retain the same terminology, while utilizing their players more effectively, including Dez like Linehan used Calvin in Detroit.

He'll be a HC within 2 years now.

He would've sunk with Dak if he stayed here.
So, I guess you're saying that the Chargers will now score 31+ ppg since Kellen is free of Dak - since the guy you claim is such a TERRIBLE QB led Dallas to 30ppg in the games he started and finished with Kellen as his OC since 2019.

If I was Mike and I thought I had one more make or break year, why would I change the offense on a QB that can be slow to make his reads in the offense he has been playing in for 7 years?

Who is ready for DQ to take over as head coach in 2024? I think the job has already been promised to him if MM fails

The Cowboys were 7th in rushing yards and 2nd in rushing TDs last season.

Only Dak over Dallas fans would try and give Dak all the credit for PPG.

AC trying to get his post that nobody is caring about some attention.

I'm pretty sure piggy backing off a thread getting some attention to try and pump your your useless thread isn't allowed here.
My thread is based on videos supporting ex-players views. This thread is supported by heresay. So, tell us, which thread is actually of violation around here?

"I think this will all be part of how we look at our offense,'' McCarthy said, guaranteeing a review and repair of details gone wrong. "We're not just going to change the date on how we do things in 2023 - I promise you that."

Sounds like a writer's opinion instead of factual news.

“It is possible that McCarthy will take over playcalling responsibilities, but no decisions have been made, sources told ESPN”

While it’s very likely it will be MM there’s been no confirmation on that and conflicting reports

I didn't think McCarthy would change the offense. Too much work to get everyone on the same page with a new scheme, concepts and language. The offense at its core is productive. Add some new wrinkles to the concepts of the scheme, create better balance and situational nuances with the play calling to help make the offense more consistent.

Moore wants to be a HC and Dak doesn't work well enough in his offense to make that happen.
That HC part is interesting since Staley may get the axe next year if their defense sucks and he makes more coaching gaffes. KM knows he will have a better chance of getting the HC job sooner there than in Dallas.

Prove that I lost a bet.

No, i don't feel the same about Mahomes the way I did, he proved he improved as an actual qb.
