This same type of garbage was said about Weeden...then when we cut him, he was signed by another squad IMMEDIATELY.

People just don't realize how bereft of talent the QB position is, in general.
Not disagreeing with you. The QB situation is terrible around the league in general. In regards to Weeden, he got demoted to third string in Houston.

:lmao:Romo is having a day off and he was the incumbent. We still have Redball at the helm and that is his MO.

He was better than Weeden who couldn't read defenses and Cassell who was underprepared and timid. I still hope Showers or Prescott progress enough to beat his noodle arm out.

Must be a strong wind in Oxnard today only reason he is playing with the ones. Nevertheless this allows Linehan to lean over to Red and say...see I told you those offseason workouts would pay off. He is zinging the pigskin today bout 11 yards. Red to Linehan...you do realize there is a 30 mile hour wind behind his back right....

guy was in a Ps for 2 years. nobody wanted him when its easy as signing a free agent. you may not like it but he is garbage, and that's being generous. All off season to upgrade and this front office did nada, its pathetic.
So this fo is so stupid that they don't try to get somebody, anybody to come in and compete with Moore as a backup to Romo? Moore must be better than he's given credit for on this board, JJ has too much at stake for him to be garbage, I would think anyway. Moore came in here last year late and never got the benefit of a training camp and had to work on the upcoming weeks opponents plays when he did arrive then was thrust into a backup position late in the season before being thrust into the starter slot where he exceeded the other two guys before him. He doesn't have all the mechanics of a Aaron Rogers nor is he fleet of foot like a young Mike Vick but by all accounts he is football smart and can play in this league given the chance. He seems to have the it factor for sure. Other than Floaty and a few select others on here Moore gets cut down and dismissed without any consideration to his journey thus far in the nfl. Running the practice team is totally different than being a backup running and working with your own teams plays. That's been his forte in Detroit and here till this training camp. At least as a fan of this team give him a little slack and let him show what he can and cannot do before passing your all mighty judgement upon him. I like the kid, liked what he did at Boise State. Son of a football coach, RKG all of that jazz. I am willing to wait and see what he has. I remember when no one knew who Tony Romo was. I remember the announcers referencing Tony Roma ribs when it came to him because they had no clue who he was and be honest neither did you nor I.

Yep.

There are about 15 guys that make for decent, starting caliber QB's.

Of that 15, probably 7 are legit franchise type guys that can carry a team.

Beyond that, it's fodder.

This is just speaking at a high level, mind you.

I've been saying it since day one..... once KM signed here...One day he will be the starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys.

People may not believe it...or want to acknowledge it...but a QB controversy could be brewing in 2017....

Wow, starting on 1st team for non pads. He is AMAZING.

What do you expect Garrett to do. Romo comes to camp way over weight it was a matter of time he lost the starting job.

Good one!
...if, of course, it was a tongue in cheek joke toward all the idiots who actually think that statement is true.

I don't know if Prescott can be relied upon to do anything more than make the PS but I like Shower's potential to supplant "Noodle Arm" as the backup. My one and only insider at the Star (formerly the Ranch) thinks the coaches are high on Showers and his development. No one believes he is starter material but they think he can be a solid backup in this league.
