god help this team, he is barely good enough to be in a practice squad, we have him as a backup, what a joke

With Romo out, Kellen Moore took snaps with first-team offense. Dak Prescott with second.

Throwing the ball at step 3 on a 7 step drop because he has no velocity?

Wow let's hope showers shows major improvement...

Sad they did squat to address a major weakness on this team. I guess winning 1 game without Romo wasn't enough enough to do something.

Floaty running around here talking about controversy..:lmao:

Changing of the guard...

I do believe we would've won a few more games had we gone to him earlier instead of wasting in entire season with the awful Matt Cassel

I've been saying it since day one..... once KM signed here...One day he will be the starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys.

People may not believe it...or want to acknowledge it...but a QB controversy could be brewing in 2017....

A glimpse into the near future. How depressing.

Romo taking every 2nd or 3rd day off? Does anyone think Brady does stuff like that? Brady is almost 40 is he not? That goes to show you how really worried and fragile they believe Romo must be.

So this fo is so stupid that they don't try to get somebody, anybody to come in and compete with Moore as a backup to Romo?
Moore must be better than he's given credit for on this board, JJ has too much at stake for him to be garbage, I would think anyway. Moore came in here last year late and never got the benefit of a training camp and had to work on the upcoming weeks opponents plays when he did arrive then was thrust into a backup position late in the season before being thrust into the starter slot where he exceeded the other two guys before him.

He doesn't have all the mechanics of a Aaron Rogers nor is he fleet of foot like a young Mike Vick but by all accounts he is football smart and can play in this league given the chance. He seems to have the it factor for sure. Other than Floaty and a few select others on here Moore gets cut down and dismissed without any consideration to his journey thus far in the nfl.

Running the practice team is totally different than being a backup running and working with your own teams plays. That's been his forte in Detroit and here till this training camp. At least as a fan of this team give him a little slack and let him show what he can and cannot do before passing your all mighty judgement upon him. I like the kid, liked what he did at Boise State.

Son of a football coach, RKG all of that jazz. I am willing to wait and see what he has. I remember when no one knew who Tony Romo was. I remember the announcers referencing Tony Roma ribs when it came to him because they had no clue who he was and be honest neither did you nor I.
True, Last year moore got here after TC and did not play in PS ?
So he has had off season knowing he is a backup, and all camps as # 2, and will play in pre season.
So I expect him to be better than he was last year.
Last year he won 1 of the 4 games they won, and did ok in the other games.

Him getting reps with first team is smart, weedon did this last year.
I expect moore to play a lot in pre season, and we can judge him from that.

If showers or Dak show something in camp, that will get them extra time in PS games.
Tony will practice 3-4 days a week, and Moore will take reps on his days off.

Actually I think Brady works on a modified practice schedule too.

Brady doesnt take the hits Tony does.

Brady doesnt move like Tony does.

Huge difference.

Well brady works hard in season, and in off season, strong work ethic, he wants to be the best he can be in every way.
That is why he has the rings.
I dont know about this year, but in 2014 romo had the sensitive back issue, so he took off wed.
I dont know if his back is still a issue or not.
he and the coaches evidently think he doesnt need to practice every day.

Brady gets the ball out quickly for that very reason.
IN 1992 season Aikman practiced getting the ball out quickly, for same reason, and it worked fairly good for him.

Our coach thinks it is ok for Tony to hold the ball too long and take the hits.

As soon as the off season rolled around what was Jerry Jones saying where his two top goals for this offseason? The biggest weaknesses in his mind were the backup QB and pass rush. And now that the off season has come and gone what did he do to fill those glaring holes?

Same backup QB and he drafted a DE with the 4th pick? Its mind boggling. And we had the 4th pick in EVERY round and he completely whiffed.

Any thoughts on the severity of late hits (that flags are rarely thrown afterwards) after Romo had gotten rid of the ball quickly?
