6 feet tall, 200 lbs with rocks in his pockets. I don't think he's the answer unless we can somehow graft Drew Brees arm on him (when Brees was younger).

Drew Brees didn't have a strong arm. He's cerebral with a quick release and he's high accurate.

A QB can succeed with that combination and without the rocket-arm.

The decision on drafting a QB or not next year won't have anything to do with who
Plays QB this year but who is availible when we pick. It doesn't matter if we win out with our backup QB, if a QB your staff thinks can be good then you take him. If there is not a QB you think can play then you take another position
I suspect we will have a very high pick and with romo being his age if there is a QB there you take him

He doesn't have the physical stature or the arms that coaches and GMs covet, but he's supposed to do everything else really well. I personally think he should have seen time shortly after Romo went down the first time.

I'm 99.9% sure that as long as we are still mathematically alive for the playoff that Garrett will continue to play it safe and play Cassell (which I disagree with). We'll probably need 2 more loses before we see Moore. If we don't see him at all this year, that would be a major fail on Garrett's part.

totally agree with what you say, I would put kellen in the next game and let cassel bk him up.
We need someone who can throw the ball good.
find out if moore is any good or not, give him 2-3 games .

Cassel played better than romo, in carolina game, but it was over by time he came in.

I'm with Moore experiment. Sit Dez too while you're at it. Need to be totally healthy and know what you have in Moore (if anything ).

Looking forward to the high pick even though it seems like a weaker draft than in recent years.

A lot of people want to harp on his lack of height and arm strength and not focus on his strengths of reading defenses and making anticipatory throws. Although not a mobile QB, I think he can move enough to not be a statue (like Romo). He's also more suited to change the call at the line (if the coaches allow which they probably won't) than Cassel or Weeden ever was. He just sounds like a technically sound kid that you can win with in this league (as a backup).

What about Jameill Showers? He has a little bit of something...

If he ever sees the field as an NFL QB, I don't think it'll be for years (if at all). If the goal is to challenge for the first pick in the draft rather than evaluating the backup position for next year's team, then yea by all means we should put him under center. He may get some of our receivers killed in the process however.

If Cassel wins most of tgr remainder games we will still draft a qb.But of Moore can do it in fashion then we may hold off spending a high pick on a qb. We may still draft a qb in the 2nd or mid rounds.

Play him and let him show what he's got, which probably isn't much. Then they can go ahead and move on from that project QB.

well I watched the detroit pre season games he played, and he looked pretty good. that was 2 years ago though.
but now is the time to play him and see what he can do.

I'll go with one of the top 3 qb's in the draft. Even if Moore plays well, he can be the 3rd qb after the rookie we draft.

And it could very well be that 3-13 or 4-12 is just a blip on the memory too.

You combine a little better health with some prime draft picks with a soft schedule with the advantage of being near first in line when it comes to the waiver wire and you certainly could have another good season next year.

So Tony won't get hurt over a 16 game season next year? You can't count on that.

Romo has never been Brees. Brees doesn't take hits. Brees has been pretty healthy since his bad shoulder injury. Romo is Sean Lee but on the downside of his career physically.

No one said he's not going to get hurt.

No guarantee he will get hurt either.

He will get hurt again. This time, Goff or Lynch should be ready to go. Tony takes hits with 3 all pros on his oline. He holds the ball too long bc that's what he does. His receivers may be the slowest in the NFL. You must know, his next big injury is probably his last.

If we want to win a few, we need a guy that can run and by-pass this crappy passing scheme we have. There should be plenty of opportunities to move the chains on Moore's legs when we got our WRs running routes outside the stadium..
