Ken Dorsey OC?

First of all they said this is a possible consideration no formal interviews have happened I'm sure they're still working on atoms but they need to have a backup plan but people keep in mind he's not calling plays or designing the offense he's therefore he's going by Brian schottenheimer's direction literally learning schottenheimer's offense and help during practices implemented also Brian schottenheimer would need help in meetings and what not just relaying information....

So whoever they hire is gonna have to go through this Ken Dorsey is not gonna be the official offensive coordinator or the play caller he just gets the title.

I'm a firm believer that you hire a HC and then allow him to choose who will be part of his staff. I really do not care how anyone else thinks about the individual coach as long as the HC wants him
exactly besides the fact that schottenheimer is calling the plays he's designing the offense , So whoever they hire is gonna have to go through this Ken Dorsey is not gonna be the official offensive coordinator or the play caller he just gets the title.

If Schotty is calling the plays he may not last 8 games, all his dumb schemes are antiquated and we dont have the Oline to run it anyway.

True. I just think you hire the HC you allow him to bring in coaches he wants. When Jimmy Johnson 1st got hired he brought in assistant coaches he trusted and believed in.

BREAKING NEWS: It will be Shotty's offense!!! He just needs someone to have that role/title

I'd like to see Pep Hamilton or Marcus Brady get an interview.

Sóme of you still havent figured out that A) this is not a partucularly attractive place to work and B) our cheap, lazy, and inept FO waited till all the expensive talent got hired, and are now picking through the bargain bin. Our motto is that if you are going to lose, do it cheaply.

Someone on here posted that we lile to hire coaches on their way down, not up. So true. And why? Because coaches are a lot cheaper when they're not at the top of their game or in demand. It's always the cheapest option with these guys.

Are we considering Dorsey and not Adam’s
if you met they as in the dallas cowboys , yes they're all being considered, pretty sure this is a backup plan it's the atoms falls through a list , but it clearly states no interview has been set up with dorsey.. besides the fact this is a non-play calling position. its title only. BS is the Play caller ie designer etc his scheme will be used by whomever the OC is...

i've never heard of the bears or the lions OC..Ironic huh.. Bears im sure its because BenJ is doing the play calling and the OC is title only..Declan Doyle hmm heard some negatives on him.. Lions;John Morton hmm zero name recall..

Huge Miami Hurricane fan here but trust me.......Ken Dorsey is an awful OC. Word is people from the Bills tried to warn the Browns how bad he was but they didn't listen.

Lol,
The window to start hiring position coaches with expiring contracts opened on the 20th. Schottenheimer was hired on the 24th. You can also hire position coaches who are under contract if you’re promoting them to a coordinator position.
Are you saying all the good coaches were swallowed up in the space of 3 days?

Interesting Ken Dorsey post on Reddit

Deep Diving into Ken Dorsey's Bills offense in 2023

Now apart from the stats we've seen going around on Twitter and Reddit about Dorsey's offense:
  • 1 in success rate (48%)

  • 2 in third down conversion rate (49%)

  • 3 in early down success rate (47%)

  • 3 in EPA/play (+0.09)

  • 4 in rate of downs converted into a new first down (77%)

  • 4 in points/minute of possession (0.85)

I wanted to dive into some of the other complaints about Dorsey's offense.
  • The Offense was Boom or Bust meaning they passed deep a ton and Allen was carrying the team
  • The Offense couldn't sustain drives
  • The Offense couldn't score points
  • The Offense didn't run the ball enough nor did it have enough success running the ball
