I disagree.

By all accounts, it took dang near the entire organization to convince Jerry Jones to dump Terrell Owens.

Regardless, my point is that there is no way Jerry Jones is going to give up on Roy Williams "this" year.

Also, the "He got rid of Terrell Owens" argument is somewhat weak because Terrell Owens was really destroying the locker room and was publicly throwing members of the Coaching Staff under the bus.

Again, Red Jesus will have to find creative ways to get the youngins involved because Roy Williams is not getting benched and his playing time is not going to be reduced.

Remember, the only reason Miles Austin finally got a shot and is now "Miles Austin the best receiver on the team" is because Roy Williams was injured.

Roy Williams is here to stay for a good while, let's get use to it.
how long is a good while in your mind?

about what I was thinking, when will Jerry learn to not take the bait on these wr trades

I think Jerry Jones bought into the whole "Roy Williams just needs a change in scenery" argument and I really believe he thought we were going to do something special last year and didn't want to take a chance that Terrell Owens would get hurt and we would have lots of inexperience at Wide Receiver.

I remember being disappointed because Miles Austin had shown signs last year before the trade of what he was capable of and the acquisition of Roy Williams curtailed his development for another Season.

There was absolutely no reason to make that trade.

The good thing that came out of the trade was that it allowed Jerry Jones to justify getting rid of Terrell Owens. Without Roy Williams on the roster, Jerry Jones would have been destroyed by the media for cutting him a not having a veteran in place to pickup some of the production.

Call me crazy...because I know one was a high 1st rd pick and the other was another undrafted gem (how do we keep hitting on these?), but Ogletree reminds me of a young Torry Holt! Their size, quickness, superior route running, and hands...are very similar. I know it's way early BUT....jus sayin'!!

I believe if Olgetree out there getting thrown 5 passes his way and RW11 the same, that Olgetree would have more catches than RW11.

We must have some good inside connection at UVA because if you saw that team play you could definitely see why these two guys would get overlooked. Their QB's have been terrible for the past few years.

Josh I agree, olgetree seems like a special talent. he's a very nice compliment for Austin. Romo has alot of nice players for his offense...

Roy will start, they'll give him fewer looks, and give more looks to Hurd and Ogletree. This is a good thing.

Those who don't think Jerry Jones will cut bait on a bad investment because of pride are out of their gourds. There are reasons to play an investment to make sure you've given yourself every opportunity to make it productive, but that's not the same thing as stubbornly sticking with someone because you paid him a lot of money over the last two years. Last year's TO debate should have put this all to rest for good, shouldn't it?

You'd think it would!
I mean please stop with the idiotic conspiracy theories. Williams only plays because of our investment and Jerry's desire to not admit a mistake. BS!

Just like all the a-holes who swore we only split time at the start of the season between Jenkins and Scandrick because of Jenkins draft position.
It couldn't possibly be because while Scandrick actually demonstrated a little more production, Jenkins still had more talent and more upside.

Guess we can now see how that played out. Thank god our staff didn't follow the advice of the morons on this site and bury a promising young player on the bench.
Especially since he's now our best CB!

Let me take a position on O-tree. I'm certain he's going to be a real player for us. I'm real impressed with what I've seen going back to preseason.

He lacks experience which is why he's getting spot play. Probably does not have the play book down. Their is some risk in playing a rookie like him too much. The mistakes(incorrect routes) he may run could be real costly.

Williams' play has actually improved as of late. The drop could've been a killer. I think we'll see more O-tree going forward.

I do think it's telling that O-tree was on the field late in crunch time.

I just wish RW would go away....Ogletree IS the real deal and reminds me a TON of Derrick Mason: #85 of the Ravens: runs similar routes, similar quicks in and out of breaks and also has VERY good hands. I had said previously he reminds me of Greg Jennings of the packers but let's be honest, Jennings has a better pedigree than Otree. That being said: Derrick Mason is NOT chopped liver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets trade Roy W. for a 3rd round pick, someone will fall for it.

I don't know the salary cap ramification but I think that's a good idea.
However, I don't think we have time to showcase his sorry ashy skills.
He is such a ball and chain, salarywise and productionwise.
