This defense is dead last in the league (32nd) in yards allowed. Yesterday, the defense allowed the most yards in Cowboys history. Through half a season, the Cowboys have already tied the record with (4) 400+ yard passers. This is inexcusable. I know we have injuries on the D line, but we had injuries last year far worse yet Ryan was fired.

This is one of the worst defense I've seen in my life. Even the gameplans are horrid. We single cover Mega freakin Tron all game long when he was essentially the Lions only receiving threat. Look what the Lions did. They doubled Dez and Witten all game long. Fire Kiffin right now.

Wish I could disagree.

I was surprised by the Ryan firing but bought into it.

Spitting out my Koolaid now.

Turnovers or not we are on pace for the worst ever pass defense.

Don't think you can fire Kiffin and try to salvage this season.

Ryan must be loving this, though.

I thought this would be a good year for our D but I was so wrong. Other than turnovers they're awful.

And even when we get turnovers we don't capitalize.

Besides Lee, Carr, Hatcher and maybe Carter who has regressed. Could any of our other starters start on another team?

I'm not defending Kiffin, I didn't like the hire at the time and still don't but I don't see a whole lot of talent on defense.

I think we should come to terms with the fact that we just arent very good.

He never should have been hired here in the first place. another stupid Jerry move. just like Hiring Jason Garrett was a stupid move. every decent QB is passing up and down the field.Rob Ryan's defense was never this bad. FIRE HIM NOW!

Well Kiffin isn't the one who misses the tackles and gets beat by average WRs...

yeah, Jones is getting Kiffin's neck size as we speak. He is looking like an obvious scapegoat for the season already. Of course, Kiffin will just declare his retirement for publicity reasons after the season and Jones will register him in a nice assisted living community in Dallas. Jones will need someone's head to roll just to make the natives happy.

And Eli one more time.

It amazes me people actually bought into what Kiffin was selling. He has no clue how to stop a pass happy, spread offense. He proved it time and time again in college.

And I agreed with the Ryan firing. I felt there was too much personality clashing going on for Red to have a shot at being an effective HC.

Kiffin was just a bad hire; plain and simple. The fact it is so obvious this soon just proves it. He wasn't even able to put up a couple medicore seasons to even make it debatable. He's terrible...right now

He also isn't the one who makes the tackles, intercepts the passes or recovers the fumbles.....so what's your point?

Yeah its not looking impressive but this is what you get when you fire guys who were doing their job and keep guys who weren't. As I said earlier, defense can only be on the field so long. An offense that produces nothing until late in games will cause issues. Happened last year and the D got blamed and it happened yesterday when the O spit out a big 95 yards in the first half. Yet it's always on the D.

I'm really surprised how fragile and irrelevant Claiborne has been. It looks like we really missed with that pick.

Yes, I totally forgot about the second game against the Giants.

Wow, this defense is going to set a record for failure that wont be matched in a very, very long time.

My point is the guy can't be blamed for the players' poor tackling and covering skills...do you watch the games at all?
