Maybe, but in 2022 they could easily have offset the WR issue with an elite receiving TE.
we have that. Kellen just never fully took advantage of the mismatch. Ferguson is elite and receiver like. He wasn't used enuff. Hendershot was underused. BTW I agree 100% . I kept waiting for Kellen 2 do that and he barely did it. You nailed it. Why not use the 2-3 tight ends we have as receivers? They are elite and let's use them! Kellen just refused!

The Cowboys live and die with the running game. There's an elite RB on the board and you damn sure better not pass him up.

there is a reason he is projected to go in the latter half of the 1st RD,he is not elite.he is not in the same league as saquan or even Zeke as prospects.the Combine may even lower his draft status.

1. Houston Texans (Chicago) - Bryce Young QB Alabama
2. Indianapolis (Houston thru Chicago) - C.J. Stroud QB Ohio St.
3. Arizona Cardinals - Will Anderson Jr. OLB Alabama
4. Chicago (Indianapolis) - Jalen Carter DT Georgia
5. Carolina Panthers (Denver thru Seattle) - Will Levis QB Kentucky
6. Detroit Lions (L.A. Rams) - Christian Gonzalez CB Oregon
7. Las Vegas Raiders - Devon Witherspoon CB Illinois
8. Atlanta Falcons - Will McDonald IV DE Iowa St.
9. Seattle Seahawks (Carolina) - Anthony Richardson QB Florida

11. Tennessee Titans - Paris Johnson T Ohio St.
12. Houston Texans (Cleveland) - Tyree Wilson DE Texas Tech
13. New York Jets - Anton Harrison T Oklahoma
14. New England Patriots - Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR Ohio St.
15. Green Bay Packers - Michael Mayer TE Notre Dame
16. Washington (Red)skins - Darnell Wright T Tennessee
17. Pittsburgh Steelers - Joey Porter Jr. CB Penn St.
18. Detroit Lions - Drew Sanders LB Arkansas
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Emmanuel Forbes CB Mississippi St.
20. Seattle Seahawks - Myles Murphy DE Clemson
21. Los Angeles Chargers - Jordan Addison WR USC
22. Baltimore Ravens - Zay Flowers WR Boston College
23. Minnesota Vikings - Deonte Banks CB Maryland
24. Jacksonville Jaguars - Lukas Van Ness DL Iowa
25. New York Giants - Quentin Johnston WR TCU

26. Dallas Cowboys - Dalton Kincaid TE Utah
Let's replace Dalton Schultz with another Dalton. Schultz, who played on the franchise tag in Dallas last season, could leave in free agency, in which case the Cowboys must find a replacement. Kincaid, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound player with great hands, could step in and be a comparable pass-catcher from Day 1. He caught 106 passes and had 16 scores for the Utes over the past two seasons, and he makes tough catches look simple. He torched defenses down the middle of the field, and he has improved as a blocker. Dak Prescott would love Kincaid's ability to find space. Kincaid might even be the first tight end off the board.

I thought again about running back Bijan Robinson (Texas), but I think I found a better fit to get Robinson into Round 1.

27. Buffalo Bills - Bijan Robinson RB Texas
28. Cincinnati Bengals - Luke Musgrave TE Oregon St.
29. New Orleans Saints - (San Fran thru Mia, Den) - Darnell Washington TE Georgia
30. Philadelphia Eagles - Calijah Kancey DT Pittsburgh
31. Kansas City Chiefs - Broderick Jones T Georgia

I’d rather take a DT, G, or WR in the first. We already have Ferguson, Hendershot and McKeon, and we can get a good RB to go with Pollard and Davis in the third or fourth.

This is interesting, I would take Jones, but the Cowboys would take Robinson. By the way, think TB is the team who drafts Robinson ahead of us.

He is elite. His game tape proves it.
Don't just look at YouTube highlights.

i have watched a lot of Texas games.Bijan is good but is not in the same league as Zeke as a prospect.Zeke literally won OSU the title on his own.now look how Henry has clearly been a better RB than Zeke even though nobody thought he was as good as zeke in the draft.Rb is just not a position to be drafting in the 1st Rd

It depends on the RB. And the Cowboys must have a great RB to have success. History shows it.

Im inclined 2 take him at 26, even if Bijan is there. He is better catching passes.
I rather have Robinson at 26. Amazing short area quickness, balance and vision. Doesn't have Gibb's long speed but he'll turn no gain into 5 yard and 5 into 15. He's not exactly slow either. Gibbs not built to be a 3 down back like Edger James. Gibbs is a better version of Pollard. As much as he's homerun threat I am not taking a 3rd round back in the 1st.

Zeke got a pretty good OL compared to Bijan's TX line. 1st two year Zeke was quite amazing.

Picking at 26 is not the same as picking at #4. You take what the draft gives you. If we were guaranteed a really good NFL RB at 58 then sure I may pick another position at 26 but this is a "draft" basically a "calculated gamble".
