As I mentioned in January when going through my first mock draft for this class, the Cowboys' big list of free agents makes this a tough pick to project before April. They could have needs at all three levels of the defense depending on how free agency shakes out.

For now, let's get them a defensive end who would allow Micah Parsons to play more snaps at linebacker. Karlaftis didn't have eye-popping stats in 2021, but he is a good run defender who could get more sacks in the NFL than he had in college. He had just 4.5 last season. He's tough and physical, though he doesn't have the physical tools of a few other edge rushers in this class. Karlaftis' athletic testing numbers at the combine will be closely watched.

25. Buffalo Bills — Devonte Wyatt DT Georgia
26. Tennessee Titans — Jahan Dotson WR Penn St.
27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Zion Johnson G/C Boston College
28. Green Bay Packers — Jameson Williams WR Alabama
29. Miami Dolphins (San Francisco) — Bernhard Raimann T Central Michigan
30. Kansas City Chiefs — Boye Mafe OLB Minnesota
31. Cincinnati Bengals — Kyler Gordon CB Washington
32. Detroit Lions (L.A. Rams) — Matt Corral QB Mississippi

I don’t ever see people talking about TJ Watt needing to play more LB. Why in the hell would you want your best DE at LB. Dumb!!!

Every time the QB drops back to pass I want Parsons going after him. Where you bring from that’s up to Quinn. There were times this year when he was in coverage too often for my tastes. Not as high on Karlaftis as some. Green would be my choice.

I don't like Lawrence at all. I'm simply pointing out that if you kept Gregory instead of Lawrence instead of the other way around it doesn't make you any stronger pass rushing. Probably weaker in fact.

If Dak Prescott didn't exist Randy Gregory would be the most overrated player I've ever seen here. Dude has backup level stats and people act like he's Myles Garrett.

:hammer:

And after that 3 penalty meltdown in the playoffs.....you let him walk. You don't build around guys like that ...when the pressure is on...start to freelance....and that's exactly what Gregory did. He was off in his own little world...doing doobies.

I will stop watching if George Karlaftis is the pick. He will be a bust.

In this scenario, it is a no brainer , pick Devonte Wyatt

I don't see Jordan Davis getting past the Eagles. There's talk they're ready to move on from Cox.

I mean I don’t mind it but he’s a LDE. Doesn’t make much sense unless they plan on moving from Law soon

Sean McKeon overtaking Dak and Gregory in the overrated department.

I love the draft, but I have a feeling this isn't going to be too much fun. How many picks do the Giants and Eagles have? It's not going to be fun watching that. Although I do not see a scenario where the Eagles use all 3 first rounders for 3 players in this draft.
