Knowing we're good enough to still be playing, I can't enjoy this Sunday

Anyone else feel like this? I always enjoy the championship games, but in just feel like blah because we aren't in it. We destroyed the colts, we owned the Seahawks in their house, and we should've best Green Bay. I'm a huge fan of the NFL in General and I like to watch it all, but man, idk if I can this weekend

Our defense wasn't good enough to be playing this Sunday. :(
And, as much as I love Romo, he's not Aaron Rodgers. If you'll notice, the top quarterbacks in the league (Rodgers, Brady, Luck) or the team with a super defense (Seahawks) are playing. Romo can get us up to a certain point. But we needed help from our defense and didn't get it.
So while I think we could have been playing, the post-season really shows you the value of your units - both offensively and defensively. And while we overachieved, practically speaking, we finished where we should have as a team. We're a notch below Green Bay and Seattle. But I expect us to push pass them next year, if we make all the right moves.

I lost some interest for the playoffs and superbowl. I will probably watch the superbowl (betting reasons) but really do not care about this weekend

It is football, the sport I love more than any other. with 2 weekends left for the NFL you bet I will be watching. After that based on recent chatter around here it is going to be a long, long, so very long off season. lol

I almost never watch the post-season if the Cowboys aren't still in it. At most I'll have it on in the background.

This made me LOL. All of those teams have better defenses than we do.

I'm with you. I'm eating at bw3's because we have a gift card set to expire. My sons and I will all be in Cowboys gear. I dread seeing Green Bay fans and I honestly hope no one tries to be funny.
I've taken this loss worse than any in my sports fandom life. Only the Lattener crap shot over Kentucky in 92 is close.

I'm trying to get excited for the games but it's hard.

Tom Brady has thrown 23 interceptions in 27 career playoff games. It's a team sport.

Feel the same way. When the Cowboys are completely out of it, I quite enjoy the NFL playoffs. But in a season like this where our playoff performances left a lot to be desired and has us sitting at home when I believe we should still be playing, its going to be hard to enjoy it.

i think it's because you know it's going to be tough to duplicate the spirit we saw on this year's team.

people think if we just add a couple of dlinemen then we're on the way to the super bowl. that's not how it works unfortunately.

this year we benefited from good health, a weak division, and great team chemistry. this was a special year ruined by crooked refs.

I would agree there is no given to what may happen next season, I think upgrading defense is a move in the right direction and as much as people mock Garrett on the RKG I think it is those RGK who have great work ethic and dedication that they will be ready mentally to come back. I don't know about weak division hell NFC East was stronger than many others. Injuries your right major injury to key players can hurt a team. I fully expect this franchise to compete at a high level

Isn't that what the post was saying?

The post was saying tony sucks and only good QB's or defenses are left. "If you'll notice, the top quarterbacks in the league (Rodgers, Brady, Luck)"

Luck has top QB potential, and is playing well...but he is not a top QB yet.
